Raiga Saezima: If it ain't in the movie, it ain't in the movie: you sound like Chris Stuckman, because you're both right.

Sarabeswaran Balamurugan: Watching this in 2018...
"The Amazing Spider-Man 2... won't have to worry about this setup."
I paraphrased, but lol

Steel Xcaliber: I've thought for a while that this film's plot was made from the corpse of Spider-Man 4's intended plot.

The Lizard and the parent story make so much more sense in this context. Dylan Baker was set up as Connors in the Raimi films and he was given more significance in Spider-Man 3. TASM sold itself on "the secret behind the origin" when we didn't even know the actual origin.

Elif bound: The Amazing Spider-Man suffers too many plot holes and the character development of the Lizard/Dr. Curt Conners is weak IMHO....

Elif bound: Yes, I agree....The Amazing Spider-Man is a let down....

MARANA CHIU: When the Amazing Spiderman was released it was received pretty well but after a few years it began to get lots of negative reviews

Zaharioudakis Productions: Spider Man: 10/10 (aaw nostalgia)
Spider Man 2: 10/10
Spider Man 3: 8/10
Amazing Spider Man: 7/10
I haven't seen ASM 2

Zaharioudakis Productions: It was ok...not bad movie

Arin Waza: one thing you got wrong you predicted TAMS2 wrong

Brayden Campbell: The Amazing Spider-Man movies were the first films ever that disappointed me. And I'm a huge Spider-Man fan, so that blow was even more painful.

Nicola Hill: just think rami trilogy and amzing series doesn't exist for homecoming and advice on watching webb stuff again think rami trilogy doesn't exist

Nicola Hill: fans didn't like trailer and webb had to change

Dragon BossFiRE: you are awesome

darthbriboy: I feel the now time has passed between this series and the original Raimi films, I can kind of be confirmed at this point that Rami's films were masterpieces overall and that these are the black sheep of the Spider-Man franchise.

Thomas O'Hara: This is the first ever spiderman movie I ever watched

Mr.NeedleMouse32X: the only answer you need to prove that raimi spidey was better than Amazing...

Raimi got 3 films, Amazing got 2.

Kartik Punna: Why does everyone compare this movie to Tobey???

Felipe Rico: "The Amazing Spider-Man" is a eh film. While the action scenes and special effects were quite good for making the audience to enjoy every scene and sometimes, it gets a reboot to make it much different than the original trilogy. To me, it's a bit mix bag that I can why this movie didn't do very well. Okay, one positive is Emma Stone as Gwen Stacey. She done a good job for playing a pretty blonde teenage girl and she's quite nice in her role which I liked her more than the two "Amazing Spider-Man" films. She's not much of damsel like Mary Jane, but she's quite attractive one and I'm glad they make Peter's first girlfriend before he gets any girls. The romance is fine and they seem okay for every scene. However, I don't find this movie that entertaining. Andrew Garfield is an okay actor and there's nothing wrong with his performance. It's just he's a bit wooden, very stutters, not developed character of Peter Parker, I agree he's been changing too many personalities, and he's been too aggressive throughout the movie which I doesn't work for me. That's serious problem with this character. Also, I'm not huge fan of every actor who portrayed less roles and no much attention, and make them like real actors. Including Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben, Sally Field as Aunt May, Denis Leary as obnoxious Captain Stacey, group of mean teenagers in this early 2010's, and that villain with less character development. The lizard is pretty forgettable and his design looks like a weird Goomba face in the awkward "Super Mario Bros" film. The story is nothing groundbreaking, Peter's origin is underwhelming, and the tone is just do whatever it wants while action scenes that makes it good without no connection. It doesn't feel like comic book movie, it feels like darker teen action film. It's pretty inconsistent for this reboot. So that's all I have to say. Not bad, but not worth to watch.
