Tim Lamb: My 2001 had the same issue. I put a new turn signal stalk in, and it was
fine after that.
waytostoned: BTW had the same problem with the multifunction stalk. Woke up to a dead
battery, not a hard job to replace though.
Slightlyevil: I thought so too, till I owned one...
WHOO222: lol this vid was posted a long time ago and he already sold the car
filthydirtyhooker: I like how he says "there is no negative" when at 1:33, I can clearly read
the word "negative" Chances are, it's 2 separate problems, a weak battery
and a foglight problem, likely the switch
yorkandpomona: @markymark9172 where is this fuse located and is it just for the fog
lights? or does the fuse have multi function? having this exact problem....
Steve Miller: My grandfather's 2004 PT Limited does the same thing, except when he leaves
the turn signal switch in the left turn signal mode when he turns off the
car, then they stay off. I know you probably sold it, but just saying to
try that the next time you may have a similar issue. :)
I FLY TOO: my greek 2002 model just burned the left fog light
Jon Peterson: Did he fix the problem, or did he end up selling the car with the fuse
pulled for the fog lamps. You would think he would follow up on the video
after the dealer fixed the problem. Ive also never seen someone be so rough
on a vehicle. ex: slamming the shifter from Park into Drive, Drive into
Reverse...so on and so forth. Not sure if I would want to buy a vehicle
from this guy.
Girl From NY: Update: New Battery died earlier today, so i gave it a jump. I think the
MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH or the alternator need to be replaced. Will update
again after mechanic checks it out
Sonata0610: If I ever pass a car dealership at night and I see a car with the fog
lights coming on, I'd say "That car is haunted!"
cameron7710: ya i hate those cars that have 2 rev limeters
Saabkyle04: yeah I have no idea haha, it just might be
syyenergy7: You'll need a new battery if you 100% discharged it several times. Also it
is better to ground to the body vs the battery anyway. True Chrysler
quality is pretty poor.
NickWilliam89: We have a purple PT Cruiser, but man, those jump start attachments to that
car are f***ed up.
PMUBstudios: This just happened to me today! How did they fix the fog lights?
Goldenrod636: Chrysler makes kick ass leather seats.
naterade21: @djkain2007 the limiter in my old mans malibu is 4000rpm
holidayjay9704: I had that same problem I just replaced the fog Steering wheel lights
Control switch cost $89 for it easy to do but the box connectors are
fragile and brake easy.
djkain2007: 3500 rpm rev limiter... damb!!! my 1999 chevy cavalier rs coupe doesn't
have a tachometer but it also doesn't have a rev limiter like davesfarm -
his 1994 cavalier has a rev limiter
andrenegwer: Solution : remove the fog light fuse
David Muñoz: your car is old and has over 10 years, it is obvious that you will leave
details, is a very nice car, I have a 2002, very little maintenance that I
Thee3rdprophet: i kind of laughed when you knew the battery was dead and u still tried to
start it..only problem i have really seen is the bearings fall out of the
ignition switch leaving you stranded in a pos...still better than some cars
but i like sports/trucks not compact gocart type deals
t saint j: This is also EXACTLY what mine does, what did you finally have to do with
TJC450: @filthydirtyhooker I didn't see that either
SilentServiceCode: It actually points to the negative jump point. The chassis is negative, so.
I'm not sure why you haven't seen that.
Saabkyle04: Yeah that's the way my 300M was, this one is actually where I put it, if
you go back and look at the video carefully, it says negative next to the
big screw haha
2fast4uFED: keep the lights, loose the car
keebler156: its a commonn problem with pt cruisers the problem lies with the
multifunction switch (the switch that controls the lights and the turn
signals and what not, you have to get that replaced, probably a 50 dollar
part, for a temporary you can pull the fuse until you can fix it
I FLY TOO: hi, did you find any solution?
jdunn903: changing front struts
Bo Gut: I don't get how this vid can be called trouble shooting if you didn't look
on what was causing the problem. It only a 7:53minute vid on how to remove
eduardo montez: This car is freakin ugly
Troy Caldwell: this is the same problem with my 2001 pt cruzer
bd398226: my grandmothers 300c just died they just got a 2009 malibu
WiiMan1012: I heard that WD-40 and fine grade steel wool will even it out, i am
planning to to this experiment to my 2003 pt.
lg12368: you said fod lights
MegaBerserker1: switch in my 01 limited edition cruiser and my wife's 05 convertible gt
high output turbo cruiser both went bad ya gotta pull the fuse so your
battery doesn't get drained...If you notice you hooked the jumper to the
negative connection it is funny because they both went bad about 4 years
M67v: @M67v Scratch that! I saw there was a tag that said negative.
MrMigs24: we have that same problem but to keep the lights off is to turn on the turn
Natesmodelrailroad: Mine's been doing that since last year, I've just pulled the fuse. I really
have no need for fog lights, they don't do much for me.
boricuaperro: hechele gasolina
relkoms: just pull ouyt the foglight fuse and its all good
Peter Jim: If you put the car into neutral and rev it, it shouldn't hit the 3500 rpm
redline because it should only do it in park. haha "There's those stupid
lights again!!" haha You don't have much luck with chrysler products do
you? :) We are luck we didn't get this car. Nice vid, two thumbs up :)
HirumiKato: BMW 3 series is prefect for a student, stylish, economical, low priced, and
the M50 engine is very reliable. Mine has 230,000 miles and is still going.
