David Fox: Good review. I like the notion of not buying replacement filters. The seems on your wood floor are improperly spaced.
zalsentzer: Dylan, the filter "combs" out all micro-organisms down to .1microns. So, organisms etc. are simply removed from the water before exiting the filter. It does not have any sort of charcoal or chemical element that kills bacteria.
Dylan NcNaughton: So since you dont need to use tablets this kills bacteria and other small organisms and filters dirt?
The OutBeardsman Channel: Funny how you have your cat do a cameo at the beginning of your vids.....great water filter system
Matt DeWitt: Love the idea. I watched sticks video and yes you can save weight but I have done the ultra light thing with drops for years. There is a point when you are with the family backpacking that you have to consider time and connivence over weight. I personally like your setup better. and looking into a either making one like yours or getting the sawyer gravity system for family outings and sticking with aquamira drops for "guy trips" or solo. Sawyer seems to have the longest life on filters.

" Always changing, always tweaking, that's half the fun, right?"
I gotta admit, it is pretty fun...besides, we gotta have something to do while we're not on the trail too... :)
zalsentzer: @1377stick Cheers buddy... I like your system a lot, it is so light! I used to use iodine tablets, then I switched to the Katadyn Hiker, now I am using the system in this video. Always changing, always tweaking, that's half the fun, right? Anyway, glad you like the vid, cya. Z
