Marian Murdoch: I'm adding my thanks as well! The manual that came with the washer didn't
explain 1/2 of what you said! Well done. :)
Josh G.: Great video, pretty disgusting in there
Mark Hennessey: This is the kind of dishwasher I have... I've always been good about
cleaning the easily removed filter... but you wouldn't believe what I
pulled from the super-double secret hidden filter.
Oddly, a lot of it looked like... *hair*.
Dishwasher is running as I type, and it sounds *happier*.
Marissa Klotz: This was just what I needed. YUCK. Can't wait to see the sparkly dishes
come out. Thank you!
s burton: nice explanation, I will give that a try.
Linda Bolt: Thank you! This was exactly what I needed to know in order to clean out the
dishwasher in the house we bought. Mine was more full of gunk than the one
in the video!
d Brandow: Thanks Steve, you made that just a piece of cake for me!!! My husband
doesn't do this type of work around the house, so I am thankful for your
Abi Wattai: Question: When I took out my filter to clean it, the coarser inner filter
detached from the finer mesh large filter. Now, when I put everything back
together in the dishwasher, the large fine mesh outer filter doesn't seat a
flat as it used to. I'm concerned my lower spray arm won't move smoothly
over the filter. Any suggestions for a better re-assembly? Thanks for a
most helpful video.
badbn405: So when I started, there was no water in the bottom of the dishwasher, now
it's full! How did that happen?
Renee Dreik: Hello, thank you very much for this video, I tried to take off the tab, but
unfortunately, it wasn't able to, can u please tell me what to do, Thanks
lady3bglover: Steve thanks for the 101 on DW drain cleaning. I followed your instructions
and I'm still getting a gritty feeling on my dishes. Any advise?
Alexaklr: Thanks so much. I just cleaned mine following your instructions and am
presently doing a test run.
noobtube1210: This is a great video and its straight to the point. It was exactly what i
Brad Haber: This was exactly what I needed. I knew the filter was dirty but the owners
manual was no help in figuring out how to clean it. Thank you!
lavirden: thanks so much, been trying to figure this out for years, oh my what I
found down there, uck
B Sharif: OMG!!!! THANK YOU! Dishes had been coming out dirty for weeks, and I was
JUST about to blame the city water supply, and then wondered if maybe I was
supposed to clean the dishwasher. Once in a WHILE. This was INCREDIBLY easy
and I would NEVER have had any idea about this if not for your instruction!
And that filter was CLOGGED...!!! Thank you!
contractor08831: Thanks for this info, dishwasher was making a screaming noise. Found filter
very clogged and cleaned it out. Now it is as quiet as new,
Valerie Bourbour: Thanks! This has been driving me crazy. Who would have thought it was so
Emily Berry: I was always intimidated by the bottom of my dishwasher until I watched
this video! Thank you for showing me how easy this is to clean!
NorthernHorrorStory: thanks for making the video , this things a real piece of crap..
Mandyman00: This was the best repair video I have ever seen, the manual is totally
useless. Thanks very much
kingsharmony: awesome. didn't think it's just that easy to clean. ours hasn't clean for
like 6 years. believe me nobody in this world wanted to see what i saw
that's trap in the filter.
Channel5: Nicely done - thank you! One added comment: we found the mesh screen
clogged with lime buildup so we carefully squirted some lime remover
solution all around the mesh, rubbed around a bit with tip of sponge, and
rinsed. All clear now.
William Leady: Thanks!!!
ptmymnky: Thanks! just what I needed
richard hotz: Thanks so much- can't wait to have clean dishes again-
Monique Debrofsky: Super helpful!! I was trying and couldn't figure out how to remove the
fitting on my own.Thank you!
David Emanuelson: I had a lot of calcium build up so it took a bit a force to get it out
(after ten years). I was astonished at how bad the filter was clogged.
Soaked parts in CLR, lightly scraped parts, washed in vinegar, and presto.
Also ran short cycle with CLR afterwards.
Fred Frederickson: Really appreciate the information! Solved our problems. Thanks for taking
the time to post this!!
joey cross: trash it. It has nasty bacteria and iron you should trash it by using a cup
or a bowl to drain it in to the sink.
Rose An: I just bought a foreclosed condo and found buildup in the washer. This
video was very helpful in cleaning...but how do u get the "water" that
remains? I have 2 inches off nasty water..is it still safe to use it or
should it be trashed?"
bcornelle: Thanks for posting that! I didn't even know the filter was removable until
I saw it -- I removed the filter, gave it a good cleaning, and am running a
cycle with vinegar and baking soda right now. It should smell as good as
79pretzel: just did this earlier today; made a world of difference; thanks for sharing

TheBlueazul03: Thank you, very helpful.
christine29412: Thank you!! I put the inside filter in pointing towards the door instead of
