Did this video help you?

hfcfirefighter: Sounds really good exactly what I want to do to my 06. How did u start the project?

Alex Wilson: I have 4 holes (3/8") now and might increase to 8 holes. How much will it actually change the sound if I go from 4 to 8? Will it become louder, deeper, higher pitched or what?

marc prussein: dude just get a new exchaust that thing sounds like crap

Rob F: Would I still get the increase in sound if I leave the cover plates with the 3 rivets on the end of the pipes, and just us a long drill bit to drill the 3/8" holes through the cover plate, and all the way through the next plate that you drilled?

Tok Mann: Just did mine. Took about 30 min. I like the sound

Walter Fortuna: I drilled 8 3/8" holes each pipe on my 2012 Vulcan. It did not get loud enough so I have an open pipe custom made and now it sounded more like it. .

Walter Fortuna: Hi sir, I have a 2012 model. How did you remove those 2 covers that are laying on your floor? Did you grind or punch the revits?

Ahthony Hand: Thanks, this video is just what I was looking for to Mod my pipes :) Cheers!

houndstooth1970: UPDATE: I wanted it louder, so I just drilled these 3/8" holes out with a 1/2" drill bit. Then I drilled 4 more 1/2" holes. SO! I now have (8) 1/2" holes in each pipe. It made a big difference!
