Jim Lambert: Can't get past step one. I pulled the pin up, but the wiper arm will not
pull off???? Any suggestions
William Thibodeau: Bless you!
Greg Cordero: Great video. I can't thank you enough for helping me with my latest repair
to my 1995 K2500. Especially with the snow storm coming tomorrow. Thank you
R G Oden Jr: Love the video, thanks. I have a chevrolet 1991 C1500 and the old girl
needs some work this is one of the items. For this modle of truck do you
have a video for replacing the entire dash? It is falling to peices,
literally, from neglect from the previous owner.
ryan richardson: Thanks for showing me how to do this...
bulldog7297: i turn my wipers on and the motor made a funny noise and the wipers didnt
move, when my dad hit my wiper motor it started working great. would you
know what is wrong with it?
bblazeff1: Thanks for posting this very helpful video. I've used a few of your videos
for reference and I've saved myself a bundle by doing so.
STEVEN LEWIS: For some reason my philips screw are not coming out. They are just free
spinning but nor unscrewing
TrapperJohn5719: Thanks a lot.... will visit your other pages!!
smile: god bless you ^_^
hilreal: Have a 1998 C1500. Wipers only work part time. Could it be a switch or
relay? I thought it was the linkage binding but I lubed them and they seem
to work ok manually.
Darren87aero: The pulse board is behind the black cover under the hood when looking at
the motor, its an easy swap.
1A Auto Parts: You may want to check for a loose wire or possibly a loose ground somewhere.
GCUE BEATS: I have a 98 GMC Yukon & I get the same sound when i turn wiper switch on
but the wipers dont move. Sometimes I get sound and sometimes I dont, what
could this be?? What should i replace??
1A Auto Parts: You could see if it was possible, but it might give you more room and be
easier if you remove the wiper motor. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
1A Auto Parts: @eb121209 It could be the switch, or if your vehicle has a module to
control the intermittent wipers it may be the module also.
tiddleygibbon: the windshield wipers on my truck turn on most times and seem to turn off
whenever they want to, do you think it is the switch that is messed up or
maybe the wiring needs to be replaced
1A Auto Parts: @justin07teach When you place the wiper blade on it adds resistance. Check
to see if the post that the wiper attaches to spins inside of the wiper
arm. If it does then you would need a new wiper arm. If the wiper
transmission doesn't move with both wipers on, and nothing turns, then the
wiper motor may be worn and in need of being replaced. Hope this helps you
Rob Heathers: I get this buzzing sound from hell when I try to turn on my wipers, and I
was told it was a bad pulse board... If I just need to replace the pulse
board in the wiper motor cover do-hicky-thing (I'm a car guy, but not a
mechanic), do I actually have to pull the whole motor and disconnect from
the wiper-arms? I just want the wipers to work and quit growling at me when
I need them on (but end up having to pull-over).
1A Auto Parts: @pumpSHO Thank you for checking us out.
duke55431: This was a very good info video!!! Thank you so much for your help, it
saved me alot of time!!! 1aauto rocks!!
ChevyGirl530: Really wish I had watched this before changing out my motor and not knowing
what I was doing. Would have been much, much faster and correct. Put the
crank arm on incorrectly.
1A Auto Parts: @ImaBirdfan2 Thank you for checking us out. Have a great day.
smithdsmit: I changed my wiper motor.the old one had common probs of wipers not turning
off when they are suppose to.but they did work on high and low speed. With
the new motor. they dont go as fast on high as they should. It seems like
some times they go fast but then slow down.I dont trust it. because in a
major down pour/they would not be fast enough.any ideas as to what the
ImaBirdfan2: Thank you!! Just watched your video on replacing the multi switch. Would
like to better see the wire bundle under the dash but will attempt. I am
not auto handy at all but willing to try. I replaced the brake vacume
booster myself a few months ago and that gave me the confidence to try
other repairs. The experience was pretty empowering for a 50+ year old
woman who has never been a "grease monkey"!
1A Auto Parts: You may want to test the switch to see if it's working correctly.
TheFailnoob: I have an s10 blazer 94. can I check to see if the wiper cowl drain is
clogged by removing the wiper vent grill as you did here?..because water is
coming in the passenger side front floor\carpet when it rains heavily.
The Legendary Mikoda: Yes! Thank you so much for this, I have no idea how to do this kind of
work, i am a computer guy, and i knew i needed to replace my motor, took
some bolts loose, and was like... YOUTUBE! Found this video, watched it
once, and it only took me about 30 minutes to do it all. Thank you!!
Jmamz Media: Thanx alot my wipers went out and let me tell you driving in the rain wasnt
easy and didnt want to pay alot of money to do a DIY jobs thanx
1A Auto Parts: @alondralczr If the passenger side works but not the driverside, you may
want to check to see if the wiper arm has stripped. You could even take the
wiper arm off of the stud to see if the stud moves when you turn the wipers
on. If it does, then you would need a new wiper arm. Hope this helps.
ImaBirdfan2: I have a 99 suburban and the wipers intermittently don't work. The Cruise
control also intermittently works. Wondering if I've got an issue with the
entire left/signal arm or if these two items are separate issues. Where to
CogCommander3: i have a 91 1500, and my wipers are hooked up to a toggle switch because
when i got it the arm to control it was broken. The wipers go on and off
whenever they feel like it unless i open the hood and push down on the plug
going to the motor mechanism. Would i just have to replace the module
inside of it and it will stay on? or will i have to replace the plug with
the wires running who knows where?
1A Auto Parts: @JETBLK69 Thank you for checking us out. We sell the replacement wiper arms
on our website 1aauto.com with FREE SHIPPING too.
1A Auto Parts: @ImaBirdfan2 You might be able to find one in the salvage yard.
gofarit: Hey that was good info
skwashua: Went on a trip today, wipers worked fine on the way to my destination,
however on the way home they wouldn't work. When I attempted to turn them
on it has a slight buzzing sound, but no movement. I'm assuming this is the
wiper motors needing to be replaced. After I turned around they started
working again, however I'm worried about getting stuck in the rain again.
1A Auto Parts: You could try a new set of wipers if you haven't already. Sometimes as the
rubber on the blade gets old, it will cause more drag which could slow them
down. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
john williams: Very good video. Brother your saving me a lot of money. It's a blessing to
have people like you in the world.
Jimmie Pickens: dude... u guys ROCK when it comes to r/r jobs. Keep em coming.
1A Auto Parts: The issue is most likely going to be with the switch or the control module.
hitmanfg2: nice vid. very helpful. idk whats wrng with my wipers. got 88 silverado.
cld be motor or circuit board. changed fuse but did nothng. also has a
custom switch. its in the lower dash next to ash tray. mayb that cupld be
the problem. any ideas what els it could be??????
1A Auto Parts: @TheFailnoob Spray water on the windshield, let it drain down then look
underneath where it should be coming out. Find the drain and poke at it
with a screwdriver or similar instrument this should allow the blockage to
Alondra Alcazar: I have a question, on my 95 chevy truck only the driver side wiper is not
working...what else can i check?
Justin Combes: I have a 1993 Corsica and the driver side arm quit working. Could the
problem be the transmission connection to the wiper motor or just that the
arm was stripped. The arm works with the blade off. When the blade is on
the driver side wiper arm will not work. Any idea of what the issue is?
loganbourhis: Hi I have a 1984 chevy k10 and recently replaced the wiper motor and pump
and now the two wiper speeds and mist all work good but they won't shut
off! So currently I am just pulling the fuse when i don't need them on but
it is very inconvenient, could this be the lever on the steering column?
Thanks in advance!
taftmanian: BEAUTIFUL THANK YOU!
pumpSHO: You guys just saved me alot of money and time but I didn't adjust the motor
correctly so I have to open it up again LOL
chickenpluckerz: thank you!
1A Auto Parts: @ImaBirdfan2 It sounds as though the multi-function switch has gone bad. We
sell new ones on our website if you end up needing a new one. Here's a link
to them for your 1999 Chevy Suburban
