Cougar Land: Why so many nails?  You are just going to be adding more nails again with the new siding anyway.

USA4US: i intend overlaying on a manufactured home and adding new siding

ximenoworks: Bad thing is that it does burn! Roxul does not.

Pikubird Ok: for a proper insulation never install new siding over old. 2 types of moisture barriers will actually cause the moisture to get trapped in between and cause more damage. other than that is a good closed cell foam board but overpriced. a 2x8 piece goes for $41.54 and thats a lot

Ed Cantu: Dumb question I am sure.  It says It can be but directly over studs.  Could I then put vinyl siding over it?  It wouldn't be strong enough correct?

Lonnie Sullivan: what about breathing for inside humidity trying to escape?  You didn't mention anything about it.

N Kel: its only incidental that it has a R value at all. its only created purpose is to have even backing for the vinyl siding. fair product for house but cut the crap. be honest !!!  without backing siding applied would look like sh-t.
