Thank you, Brian, for uploading this helpful video. I went through every
step in this video and believe it would have worked for me if I had not had
a second password in Bios. A continued search for the solution led me to a
better understanding of how to properly change or reset a password in Bios.
Hope the info below helps someone out there.
If you know the password and just want to disable it from popping up all
- Boot up the machine and once the Toshiba logo pops up, press "F2" to get
into the BIOS.
Note: I used F12 to access BIOS.
- Navigate to HDD password option and press "Enter".
- Enter the current password when prompted and press "Enter".
- When prompted for new password, leave blank or enter new password and
- Navigate to "Exit" and "Save All Changes".
The computer will restart and the HDD password should not pop up anymore.
