Robert C Campbell: Jim you want to draw the mug in 2D, first. So, you click on in canvas viewport located in the upper right space in the workspace area. Select 2D wireframe. Go to the MODEL button and click on it (Button located on the Status Bar below Command Window on the right side of the bar).
muskokamike2: I've been using autocad for about 20 yrs and with EVERY 3d tutorial or video, they ALWAYS use the simplest design possible. In this case, circles. Those are so easy to extrude. How about doing something a little more complicated made out of multiple lines, curves, and/or separate entities?
FHull1: Yes it is - but not with only one picture. You need to take quite a few all around the person.
joe g: Forget 3D until your proficient with 2D
AsteroidSized Zit: 2 years later this guy is still working on this video

noaisaasfa: How To Make The Handle??
positech123: I made an offset half the thickness of the handle for the sweep command, so it would place it in the proper location. If you 3D Align the the OD of the handle, then the OD line becomes the center of the handle after it's swept.
