Jim Harris: Very well done - and a sincere thanks! Driver's side mirror swapped in
about 45 minutes (I had "help" from a 8 year old). Appreciate this very
oneandoneeleven: A lot of that was done one handed. Nice job. Going to do mine now.
Matt Lynn: Dude, Thank you so much! this video was super!!!!! I was concerned but you
made it so easy, thank you again
Mike W: Yep! I did it. Thanks!
Santiago Alban: Thanks for posting this, it was a big help to replace the mirror in my 05
Mike W: OK. I think I can do this now. THANKS!!!!
Douglas Kivett: SOOOOOO helpful. Thanks so much for posting this. Much appreciated. I
was worried the door wouldn't go back together well, but the clips are
decent enough quality that it pops back on with no problem. Easy project.
Watched the video 3 times. Project took 30 minutes for me. Thanks again.
Wedge Ww: Worked, but I broke the speaker molding. The first thing you took off in
Renante Nate: What if the electromechanical assembly of the side mirror still works and
you just have a broken mirror, can you replace just the mirror?
ellipse8201: Comprehensive and very useful. Thanks.
tarantar: How do you plug the window switch connector back in?. I got it to unplug
and it wasn't easy. You made it seem really easy. It slides and when it
slides it seems like it would engage this lock but it doesn't want to go on
the lock at all.
Chris Kellison: Should change title to "how to install Prius side mirror, with one hand!"
Thanks very helpful.
Margarita Murrieta: Cool car
Bissoondyal raj Joory: took less than an hour on first attempt.
Bissoondyal raj Joory: very helpful
Alexis Kubiak: Question, the first part you take off.... I took it off easily but now
after everything is put back into place, it will not stay on. Im not sure
if i broke a clasp/snap or something. Do you know any idea on what i might
Alexis Kubiak: Sooo... Ive never touched a car besides to wash and drive it. I watched
your video a couple of times, bought the part, and got enough courage to
try to replace it myself.
Seeing how I am in Korea right now, it would be difficult/expensive to get
it repaired at a shop. Long story short, I DID IT! Thanks, awesome video.
sirdaveo: Nice catch when replacing that top nut. I'd probably try it on my
passenger side mirror, except I'm not quite sure what would be involved,
and my guy only wants $50 to do the replacement.
Alberto Mestas: Thanks! It worked nicely for my 2008 Prius. It took me about 45 minutes
since the door panels were a bit tight and I was afraid to brake the studs.
tarantar: One Question I had. Why can't you just take out the screws under the
mirror, right below the turning mechanism? I guess there is some plastic
Paul Walker: This was very helpful. I bought an OEM part for only $45.00 online and
installed it .myself. Saved $140.00. Thanks for the tutorial.
Nick Vergunst: Very helpful and easy to do. Takes about a half hour to do both sides with
some leisure time inbetween.
polimorphous: This video was so helpful - saved me $100 and was easy to do. Thank you for
RealTealMaherajah: Saved me. Thanks so much!
mitchrodee: Thanks for showing this. I need to do this part on on my 2007 white Prius.
Just wondering... are the third party parts makers really manufacturing
their parts exactly like the Toyota parts? There is a big difference in
price on quite a few parts.
Najib Faqirzada: Great Job A++++++++
Spanky McFarland: Wow! Thank you for the video and I was able to replace the mirror,
passenger side of my Prius, by following your demonstration for the
driver's side. I popped the panel out, easy enough and back in place,
snapped tightly when finished.
giorgio ye: I changed it thank you. Some matters to take care. During work i hav broken
a bolt on the indoor coverage of side mirror, a white plastic bolt on the
middle of big panel and a bolt of mirror's back coverage. Those plastic
parts are so old and become fragile need to pay more attention during
disassembly. That one on mirror caused a instable reinstall and i hav to
use an rubber elastic to fix it. The other two impact less cause they have
other bolts to help.
Lee Hodges: I found thisvideo to be INCREDIBLY helpful! i was able to do the work in
about twenty minutes (once I had the proper tools). The only thought I
have is, for 1 2004 Prius, the door panel seems to be one piece as oposed
to the two shown in video. I think I broke the plastic stubs that secure
the upper and lower panels so the panels are now slightly loose. I don't
think anyone else would notice but me.
Thanks for posting this video! Saved me tons of money.
Rachel Kiner: Great video. What is the name of the tool?
stickman125: Just changed the passenger side mirror on my 2009 Prius, thanks to your
video, got it done in less than 10 minutes. Thanks!
giorgio ye: great movie!!!! the only one i didn't understand well is whether there is
necessity to also disassembly mirror control panel and those cables. thank
dberlier71: This is not a rear view mirror but the video is still good on a side
Kyle Hu: thank you so much for sharing!!
Monitosjr: Toyota RAV4 2007
Nelson Magaña: Great job on the video. Took me less than 15 minutes, and I'm usually
clueless with car repairs. Saved me $200. I think I may have even grown
some chest hair, according to my wife. :)
88bmyvegas: welcome and please subscribe
88bmyvegas: thank you, wow that's a lot of money. glad you gave it a go. some people
won't even try. please subscribe
Monitosjr: Rav4 2007 please
julygoldfish1: Thank You sooooo much !! I had a broken mirror and didn't have the money to
have it replaced ( estimate 250.00 ) we watched your video 5 times and went
for it ! it came out perfect ! thank you ! you saved the household budget
for the month !
88bmyvegas: just search the net. i buy stuff mostly in auction site e.B.a.Y
88bmyvegas: it's possible and you can try. I never done it and really haven't called
around to see if they only sell the mirror.
Curtis Mead: Wow! Thank you so much for taking the time to edit this video together and
for sparing us any extra commentary . Everyone needs to take lessons from
this video. I watched it one time and completed the task perfectly. Thank
Tony Puczylowski: This could not have been easier. Thank you
88bmyvegas: What year?? I will try. If not a video, I will try to put on my blog.
88bmyvegas: Thank you Steve. I really appreciate your comment. Welcome anytime. Please
subscribe and have a nice day.
88bmyvegas: Thank you for the comment. I really appreciate it. welcome, please
subscribe and have a nice day.
Monitosjr: Do you have some video how to replace the sun visor and the MOULDING ASSY,
FRONT DOOR BELT in a Rav4? I will really appreciate it
Steve King: Excellent Video. If only all aspects of car mechanics were made as easy and
straightforward as this. One word of advice to those whose Prius has a
speaker in the door recess. Keep an eye on the little metal clip that fits
it in place and if it falls out make sure you put it in the right way,
otherwise you'll end up doing what I did and have to take the whole door
panel off again to retrieve it. Thanks again 88bmyvegas - great job!
