TOBORE8THMAN: Factory (target) .357 Magnum crushes factory (target) 10mm in same bullet
weight. Check out Ballistics101 web site. Underwood ammo? Underwood .357
Magnum #720 in 180 grains beats the best Underwood 10mm in same bullet
weight by 100 fps. Homeload .357 Magnum spanks the best home load 10mm.
41 Magnum cartridge destroys both the .357 Magnum and 10MM. And you
wonder how 10mm FUD starts...watch this video.
FrustratedNameSearch: Missed the .44 AutoMag. It *removes* the fingerprints.
chan young Choi: Most powerful PRODUCTION handguns in the world
Susan Majcan: No .700 nitro express? Dislike
Andrea Manns: desert eagle should be 2
venancio cunha: great list, but i would remove the 1911 and put the wildey pistol between
the super redhawk and the 460 XVR
Devon Meredith: I feel badass... shot the 460
Justin nadeau: Desert eagle FTW
GSR187: Shot placement not stopping power is what takes down a man. I can do more
damage with a 10/22 and a 25 rnd mag then some rookie with a .45acp.
Sam Man: Well, the revolver may only hold 6 rounds but it will accept any ammo from
regular HP's to hardcast wadcutters, and I doubt any semi auto could match
it's accuracy at 100+ yards with it's fixed steel barrel and single action
trigger pull. The only time i'd prefer the Glock is if I went rolling down
the side of a mountain with a grizzly bear on my tail because I know the
Glock is durable and my .44 mag might jam up after a big impact.
Scott Musgrave: #4 since you obviously weren't paying attention.
BRICK productions: Well, it has more muzzle velocity and energy, but the .45 ACP is known to
have slightly higher stopping power (in the form of a large bullet instead
of muzzle velocity)
Wesley Mercer: If you think the desert eagle is worth its weight in crap you clearly don't
know very much about guns.
TACTICALxWITHDRAWAL: fps? it has low velocity, but the bullet has a lot of mass. that is why it
has a reputation for stopping power. although i definitely wouldn't rank it
among the most powerful handguns. if we're talking production handgun
rounds, the .480 Ruger and .500 Magnum definitely are king of the hill.
uriy1970: Accuracy of a gun is often like a beauty of a woman - in the eye of the
beholder. Most of us become more accurate with whatever we are more
comfortable with. Ammo variety? Glock 20 is great with many types of ammo
as well. Plus you can get a replacement barrel for a little over $100 and
shoot 40 S&W or 357 sig ammo. Joe, don't get me wrong, I believe that .44
mag is an awesome round, but it is hard to compare it to 10mm because
"packages" are way too different.
Block Trillionaire: You could just do a series of the same gun... For example, Freedom Arms can
have their Model 83 or 97 and they can have .22LR up to .500 W.E. Some of
those guns in there could be made for different calibers.
hevymetalaccolypse: No six hundred?
GunnaTyme IlI: Gunz, Gunz, Gunz........ GUNNAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Alex K.: Combine the whole firepower of a fully loaded Glock 20 with extended mag
(17+1) and you have a gun that is nearly impossible to beat.
Sam Man: The.40 S&W in the Beretta has a little more energy than the .45acp in the
1911 with standard ammunition,however,the .45acp 1911 could conceivably
have more power with a handloaded or +P+ round of ammunition than the .40
greymajickjedi: Now THIS is my kind of handgun list!!! :D Where's .38 Super? .357 Auto?
TACTICALxWITHDRAWAL: It depends on your intended usage. Even 10mm Auto could fail to stop, it
all depends on the circumstances - such as shot placement. I've heard of
people taking 4 shots of .45 ACP and keep coming - and the .45 is known for
stopping power. A hit with a .22 is better than a miss with a .500. In
wheel guns, you REALLY don't need anything past a .44 Magnum unless you're
hunting game. That's where rounds like .480 and .500 are useful.
lego wars: desert eagle must be 1, because it have 5o bgm rounds same as barrett 5Ocal
William Schoenfeld: Oh one of "these" videos
detectvtive nate: isnt the 50 AE about the same as a S and W 55o. magnum or no.
EEProductions EJW: But Beretta sucks
BRICK productions: Wait...How does a .40 auto (Glock 20) pack more stopping power than a .357
and .410 magnum? And I've heard of those RedHawks...possibly the one
handgun that I would hate more than the S&W 500 lol And, I'm just
wondering, where did you find this information on the energy of each
BG-Skydude: no music baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad
Sam Man: I understand, I just mean as far as being a purist as to the way handgun
rounds were developed, such as the 357 mag and 44 mag, they began life as
mediocre handgun rounds and then developed into powerful magnum rounds as
where some of them, especially the .500 magnum were made just to be
excessive, a 44 mag is in the group of 9mm 45acp etc, but at the top of the
class, as where the super big ones like 454,460 and 500 are a whole
different animal and class.
drh463: No .475 Wildey Magnum?
Paul Harrell: Interesting video. As far as "most powerful" did you look at any of the
Magnum Research BFR's? They are five shot single action revolvers in
calibers like .45-70, .450 Marlin and things like that. Check out a video
made by disaster contingency specialists called the "giant handgun shoot"
and they actually shoot some big guns including a BFR
Nick Mersing: glocks are pieces of plastic 1911 is and will always be more powerful and
built for hard use
kane13guns: I own a Colt MK IV, S&W mod 686-4, Clock 20, and a S&W mod 29-2! WELL DONE!
arupian666: So, which IS the perfect bullet that the .40 is like ? And is it FMJ ? JHP
?... wait, you mean "caliber", not "bullet", right ?
coltonstuart45: .41 mag is much more powerful than 10mm even the hottest 10mm load barely
stacks up to the .41
Marissa Kilgore: my thing might say Marissa Kilgore but i'm a boy typing and i know a lot
about guns and i think the desert eagle 50 cal should be number 1 not
number 4 this guy does not know what he's talking about oh im in rd grade
Downsmooth: Actually, it should just be "1911". The M1911A1 is just one of many
variants. Even naming Colt is just one of many different brands.
BRICK productions: As for guns in the .357 and .45 ACP caliber, it's more of the bullet that
gives the gun its power (duh...), but what I'm saying is that the specific
model of the gun (like the M1911, for example) isn't really why it's
powerful, rather, it is due to the cartridge (as in, the 1911, USP 45,
Glock 21, etc would all have the same amount of stopping power because they
all use the .45 ACP)
Sam Man: You have a point that makes me realize I need to change the title.I meant
for this to be the most powerful handguns, but I was thinking more along the
lines of the most powerful calibers designed specifically for handguns.I
wouldn't want to be behind a 450 Marlin in a handgun that's for sure,I shot
it's little brother the .444 Marlin in a rifle and even that hurt.
Darken Ng: Where The freak is the Goddamn Desert Eagle?!
Paul Harrell: @LazyJoe335: You're kidding right? He didn't miss the .44 magnum, it was
the model 29. Also the .44 Mag hasn't been the most powerful handgun in a
greymajickjedi: Right on! :D Thumbs up! Hey, is that an Eddie Van Halen Glock?!? o_O
TJthezombieslayer: My fav is desert eagle cos I'm NORMAL!!!
aran125: See below. Charles Bronson made the .475 wildly magnum famous in the movie
death wish 3 in 1985.... Custom big game cartridge originally designed for
hunting.... I own your third choice 686, its a baddass revolver but doesn't
touch the 500 mag/50 cal dessert eagle
aran125: You forgot the .475 wildly magnum that Charles Bronson made famous I'm
zombieslayer27891: 45 acp is more powerful than 40 smith and weson
05gtdriver: "I'd like to introduce you to my two friends, Mr. Smith and Mr. Wesson"
TOBORE8THMAN: Nice but the 10mm is below the .357 Magnum and WAY below the . 41 Magnum.
LazyJoe335: Bro you missed the 44. Magnum. That is the most powerful
BG-Skydude: men desert eagle is heavy and big is not for number 1 but is for number 3,
number 2:PM Makarov, number1 FNfiveseven
