Carlos Cosio: Wtf this happen to me I just have the wires and the plate I took off it
off and I just have have the wire do you need those black wire to connect
the to the switch
Rashid Rush: Your crap freak up
TheGMlover1: That's pretty smart I had one of those on my lawn mower and the switch blew
up but worked good for a few runs after I had to rewire the whole mower
mikerobotics: hey after watching this video i pulled my atc 125m the ignition had been
pulled for parts for a different 3 wheeler so i rigged mine up like you did
in this video i got a head light out of it and the neutral light but
nothing happens when i hit my start button do you have any idea what i
should try next? somtimes it makes a tick noise near where the fuse in your
video is at
Chris Veilleux: thanks loads man... I just finished a rebuild an put mine up for sale..
lost the key 2 hours later.. lol
Meowchi Meow: thanx exactly what i needed to know for the exact atv much appicated
kirk szakacs: Could I guy just twist the to wires together or dose hafta be a toogle?
Audrey Truss: Do you remember what the green and the blk/w wires wet to?
neverendingmods: Use a marine grade switch. Order from ebay, radioshack, whatever. But on an
off bike/atv you want marine switch so the mud and water won't cause bike
to start shorting out and shutting off ir worse, won't start in middle of
nowhere. Great how-to man. I just wanted to put my $.02 where it may help
someone who rides FAR from the truck/trailer parking spots.
EricTehRedneck: @marcelstjean yeah I graduated from the screwdriver to the fancy pants
toggle switch. Gonna have to wire one up for your ford's ignition lol
thanks for watching man
supraking85: hey eric, does this switch kill the atv once its running? i have a cg125
rep with something similar, can get it fired up fine, but it wont die
williamdecicco: Thanks bro, got my kids little 80 running with your help!
redneckbryon: That's only a 2 wire switch, how do you turn off the engine now?
TheTubbyKid: @EricTehRedneck Hello, Can you help me? I have a 1993 yamaha 350 moto4. I
have a new ignition switch for it, but the wire colors aren't the same. The
old one had red, black, brown, and a black wire with a white stripe. The
new switch has Brown, Yellow, White, and green. Could you clear this up for
Omar Juarez: Can I do that to a kawasaki ignition switch
kirk szakacs: Hey I got the same problem but my little circle thing is ripped right off
so IWHATS THE GREEN WIRE ?
EricTehRedneck: making crap work with what I got, that's engineering right? hahaha thanks
for the comment man
EricTehRedneck: @redneckbryon I always use the kill switch that is on the hand controls
thanks for watching man
Damien Brearley: Yo man, love the redneck style, i gotta do something similar to my 2 wheels
following a stuffed ignition barrel. but the question remains, on your
ignition circuit thing (the round disc) there were 4 wires, what did you do
with the other two?
supraking85: yup the two wires will just pop together and work, but you will have to
pull them apart to stop your batt going dead when your done
zx8401ztv: @EricTehRedneck I wouldnt shell out loads of cash for a true honda switch
as most small cc motorcycle ignition switches work the same as your atc's,
Off / On / On with lights. :-)
EricTehRedneck: awesome glad I helped somebody! thanks for the sub!
paradoxdesigns: great idea with the PSU switch. i've never thought to re-use tho. i always
toss out old ones. gotta let those old PSU's sit for awhile before taking
them apart, they can hold a huge charge for quite awhile and zap the holy
hell out of ya
Sam Turner: how did you modify the ignition to use a screwdriver. Can you make a video?
2Fast4u798: Holly crap your whole 3 wheeler is like ghetto rigged!!! Lol
frankystylezdjfrost: What is the application of the green and black with white line ? looks
like a ground to turn of the engin ? but what happens if you turn off the
button while the engine is running ?
EricTehRedneck: the ticking sound usually means your battery is close to dead. try throwing
a charger on it and see if that helps. check your fuse too.
zx8401ztv: hmm, ive robbed bits from switched mode psu's to fix lcd tv's, that rocker
switch will be fine. The other unused wire is the engine kill wire, and
connects to the handlebar kill switch, earth it to stop the engine. Looks
like the machine is getting cleaner and cleaner with every part painted,
good old honda's worth the effort. :-)
EricTehRedneck: @zx8401ztv Yeah they are definitely worth the effort, these things are
bulletproof! When I toggle the switch to off while it's running it stays
running, I always have used the kill switch on the hand controls to kill
it. It did the same thing when I rebuild that ignition the first time, I
guess it never contacted the engine kill wire or whatnot. thanks for
marcelstjean: good job works good.
EricTehRedneck: @paradoxdesigns oh yeah i've seen people get zapped before, this was a
little 400 watt psu that blew up about 2 years ago in a crap computer I
had, I usually try and save the fans and switches on stuff because they
come in handy sometimes. I'm prolly gonna make a vid of me frying this fan
though. thanks for watching man!
mikerobotics: yea that got it to turn over but never would fire off. im going to replace
the coil, clean the carb, and clean out the gas tank and try again. fuse is
