Kurtis Baxter: Did you end up cancelling your landline?
Kurtis Baxter: I'm rewatching all of your videos! How are you? What are you up to these days? :)
Jake Faulkner: I own a VoIP company AF1 voice service my service is set up to work over high latency so my service is ideal for this product However you called it a Skype phone will other voip provider s work on that phone?
Kevin Hanson: I'm looking to buy this phone, possibly. I have the skype iPhone app, but I need something that can be always-on and receive calls!
MacGizmoGuy: I know - it's weird. I'll never be celluar. I HATE phones! They RING when I'm trying to take a nap. And then people call and want to TALK! And to be cellular you have to like PAY EVERY MONTH for the rest of FOREVER! Quite annoying really... :)
Frankly I do think a current iPod Touch running Skype app would be a much more versatile, functional gizmo. I think these WiFi skype phones need to come waaaaaaaaaay down in price to be feasable.
Ricardo Castro: And one other thing, how can you be a Gizmo Guy and not have a cell phone? I am shocked! Great work with the review, though.
Ricardo Castro: Thanks for the review. I am considering a WiFi Skype Phone, came across the Ipevo at eBay and was curious enough to research and arrive here. I must say, though, that it seems that just buying an iPod Touch (refurb) for US$ 30 more at eBay could be a better deal.
