70174A: i logged on just to tell you thank you! i love you. this was the clearest
explanation i could find. thank you. freaking 5 stars man. thank you.
CptGemini: @DATxLATINxKID I completely understand, they can be confusing sometimes. If
you want a good froyo based rom I would recommend Project V, as far as
gingerbread goes you will have to try a few different ones out because
there are a few things that still do not work properly like GPS for example
and the battery life with gingerbread can be awful too. Project V is great
when you couple it with the right kernel. Visit us on our forums and I can
help you out more there.
CptGemini: Sure just PM me on the forum or create a thread in the vibrant 3G room so
we do not clutter the comments with our responses.
Harry Vaughn: Ok I must be doinging something wrong because the only time my Vibrant
shows up is when its on.. I have it on download and it wont show up. Im
obviously doing something wrong.. Mind helping me out?
CptGemini: In a sense but you would need the stuff for the vibrant 4G and not the 3G
version. Don't try to flash 3G software on the 4G version or you will brick
Hector Mendoza: @CptGemini thanks i was just getting confused reading about odin on xda.
any rom in particular you recommend?
Petar Lazić: I have a question for u,I have samsung galaxy s plus running on 2.3.3 stock
rom so I wanted to update it and I found one website with updating it with
value pack to android 2.3.6.In the comment section of the website everyone
thinks that this update is fake and it wont work So my question is do u
think that update is safe and will it work? Just search for How to Update
Galaxy S PLUS I9001 with Official Value Pack XXKQB 2.3.6 Firmware and it
should be the first link
ipodtouch428: will this work on 2.2 froyo? samsung vibrant
CptGemini: Not at the moment. I haven't had much time to fool around with the phones
due to medical issues.
CptGemini: @DATxLATINxKID you dont need to do the odin part if you are already on 2.1,
just forward to the portion where i talk about how to flash a rom
CptGemini: @JahaneSE Thanks buddy. The problem that some others have is they talk too
fast making it confusing for beginners. And with that in mind I talked as
slow as I could so it would be easy to understand. That is my goal to make
it as easy as possible whereas some others do not or some others may even
charge you $40 or more to root your phone for you.
Gustavo Ribeiro: Works on 4g?
Jonathan TriniRas: my boy been tryin for 4mths i jus took the fone lasnite and it was fixed in
within 2hrs when i came across this vid, tnkx

Hector Mendoza: can anyone help me out and tell me why i need odin except for going back to
stock? i rooted my vibrant and installed the recovery image. but i havent
flashed a rom. do i need to do a step in odin?
CptGemini: @ipodtouch428 this uses download mode on the phone so it doesnt matter what
your phone has already since this is taking it to 2.1 eclair
