Zane Smith: Repainting Midsoles Tutorial - Meltonian Nu Life
Check out a newer version of this same tutorial that I have posted.
Tunnel Vision JD: I currently have angelus leather dye, will that work?
Darius Price: in 2011 did angelus not sell the collectors edition paints? caus i know
they have the fire red and dtrt paints now
edwyn collins: what paint brush
HonestAbe: hey do i need asitone or can i just use a earaser
cincysneads: How long do you usually wait to wear them after repainting?
Troy Rodriguez: This video was very helpful, thanks. I wasn't sure what kind of paint to
but flat white or leather white... This video helped.
Aladin Ceric: What paint do you recommend to paint a air max 90 midsole?
netweit3: Hey bro have you ever used the deglazer from angelus? Is it the same as
acetone? Which one would you recommend to use on leather
kelvin zamora: does this work with kd 6's?
andysch1000: Hey man, thanks for a nice tutorial
Im thinking about doing this on an old pair of Air Pegasus from 1994, do
you think that could work out? And can i also paint other parts of the shoe
with the same paint? Thinking like some of the leather on the toe box?
Damn Im Good: Im trying to paint the midsoles of my varsity 6s, aren't you supposed to
use leather preparer or whatever.
BootyClapn: @prettythug62494 What product can I use? I want to dye an aqua nubuck into
Michael Kim: Sex scene begins at 8:10 with heavy breathing
Zane Smith: LET THEM GO! lol...When the midsole cracks, the shoe is pretty much done
for...you could try some glue on them but that won't go too far I'm sure.
ChevyBoy1987: Great video man!! I used this method on my barkley's CB94's the white pods
were almost a tan color, but then I applied your technique and now they
look brand new. I wish I new about this years ago I could've saved some
money. But Thanks again for your help and time.
Ari Leon: My paint my military 4s does not come off
Zane Smith: @Krookrz You mean the midsole right? When the midsole cracks, the shoes are
done as far as 'wearability' goes for the most part. Yes, angelus leather
paint works on both midsoles and leather. Scuffs are tricky to clean so you
are likely to have to paint. This requires removal of all the paint or just
the paint in that particular area and painting with the exact color. If the
colors don't match, it will stand out.
TyjdavisProductions: 4 oz or 8 0z of fire red paint for fire red 3s
Zane Smith: Yep, it sure will! It will actually be able to do about two pairs.
will moore: i have pair of ls 8s and the midsole has cracked . thts including the whte
and grey part. whaa shld i do?
Zane Smith: Yes. Look for a cleaning suede shoes tutorial by me.
Joseph Neglia: Thanks for the tutorial!! I'm looking to do my midnight/navy blue retro
6's.is there a way to make sure the blue i order will be the exact blue
that will match?
ljunite: Great video!! I liked how you gave step by step directions and shared what
you used and why it helps. I just started following a lot people who are
doing the customs shoes and the thing I hated at times was that they didn't
want to share the knowledge like its top secret info. I just got the
courage to do a custom color change to my Jordan 11's from the white and
black to all black with neon yellow soles. If it turns out good I'll send
you some before and after pic's. Great video once again!!
Zane Smith: This is a tough question since foams do not really have a midsole. Do you
mean the upper itself? If so, you could paint it just as many customizer's
have. I am sure they just used acrylic paint.
Miguel Hernandez: can i use all the materials but instead of using nail polish CAN i use
hiongrass: You need to use angelus paint, they have a color that matches the fire red
Zane Smith: I would not recommend it. Angelus is pretty cheap.
Albin Thomas: what are you talking about
ajakssucks: can i use it on air max 1?
rommie jr: On my black cement 3's..there is only a slight chipping in the back and
side of shoe..and on the left it is just a slight chipping on the back but
a big spot is gone on the side of the midsole..is it possible to just paint
it over with about 4-6 coats?
ComplexWork: How do you stop it from pealing
Zane Smith: No. You can tell when paint has just been added. Buy retro brite.
TsWaqq Mvp: Do you have to remove all the paint off midsole even if I jus want to re
paint that little cracked areas?
TheAsainb0y: I meant when you're painting the black part of the midsole do you do a
white layer first then do black? and if you use the paint does the gloss of
the paint match the original gloss of the midsole?
johnathan edwards: thanks man
dragonbuster619: I bought just the regular grey, and it matched perfectly after drying.
Elias Torres: Can i use other type of leather black paint instead of angelus leather
Chris Mouton: hey prettythug, i have a question. im trying to repaint the midsole of my
DTRT 3s, and i was wondering what angelus paint mixture should i mix to get
that yellow? thanks
trurock1: im actually in need of the same thing
Zane Smith: haha. Yeah I know they can be crappy. Most recently I have been using the
foam paintbrushes!! THEY WORK WELL!! You can get them at Wal-Mart. Even
Dollar Tree sells packs!!
Zane Smith: The RIT method can remove dirt from the toecap but if that is all you are
looking to do, just use soap, water, a toothbrush, and a rag. Scrub hard
and it will get out all that dirt. Sorry, but I don't have a tutorial for
removing toecap wrinkles. Not a bad idea though! haha.
Zane Smith: hahaha. I have never had that problem but yes it is possible I am sure.
23Lobo1: Yo, in this video your painting a leather Midsole. And im guessing your
using Angelus paint...but what do i do if the midsole is rubber?
Zane Smith: What is an sid number?
Zane Smith: No problem man. Good luck fixing them!
Zane Smith: Yes, it happens that quickly. recommend the newest method of spraypaint.
Check my channel out for that video tutorial.
G. Esquivias: I'm sorry but.... 8:10 - 8:30 . Dat fap sesh doe lol.
Zane Smith: No problem. Glad I could help.
George Mendoza: where can i purchase the gloss finish i wanna repaint my black cements too
