MrCDSmiles: wow never realized how good the gameboy micro looks.
TheUnbiasedGamer: All the backlit ones seem to look the same except the screen size. The ags
101 looks nice It's got the good backlight with a good sized screen. I hate
small screens because it's hard to see anything like that.
shadowtsunami: @RetroGameTech Happy Thanksgiving! from the US!
RetrogamerTim: Cool man! What a radical difference between the two sp's!!!!
MasterKOfficial: nice video. my favorite is the GB Micro
paulink: That music was amazing, love me some ocremix <3
RetroGameTech: @Padoca85 I'd probably have to agree. GBA games look amazing on the smaller
Micro screen. The resolution just seems to fit perfectly and the screen is
very colourful + bright with no ghosting. The only negative of the Micro
for me is the position of the shoulder buttons. I find them kinda tricky to
use. I use the SP for games that make a lot of use of those buttons since
the SP has a perfect layout IMO :).
Nitro Game Injection: Hey, thanks for spotlighting this tune! I was actually the director of the
Super Dodge Ball OC ReMix album, so it's great to hear someone use a track
from it. I love that you use a lot of remixed VGM in your videos, and you
and Luke Morse have actually kind of inspired me to do more work on console
hardware over the past few months. Keep up the great work, man!
Sillyzombie666: i still need to grab a gba micro its the only gameboy i dont own except for
the gameboy light
KieranD212 .: I quite liked the Gameboy Advancce Micro and even the DS lite did a decent
job, surprised me a little.
TimeTeam1982: I so want to get one of those backlit ones
John Broughton: The AGS-101 is the best device for GB/GBC/GBA games, no contest.
Padoca85: GBMicro has the best screen ever, too bad it doesnt play GB games
mikrobotmen: imho the ags 101 is the best gameboy of all the line up. its stay true to
the original gameboy buttons layout. nice backlite. big library of games.
as it is backwards compatible. clamp shell design so that the screen wont
get scratch during storage. the biggest con is it doesnt have an internal
phone jack. other than that its the ultimate gameboy from nintendo. cheers.
GreenJanuary: woah, huge difference between back and front lit.
Charlotte Woolley: I second on the GB Micro, I loved their little screen looked perfect, I
agree on the shoulder button placement though, didn't feel as natural on
the SP. I didn't know the backlit screen was so good on the 101, I've still
yet to find one hunting around bootsales. One day, I will enjoy Tetris when
I can properly see it!
Will Denny: Can you please do gaming setup
RetroGameTech: @shenmueso I hear what you're saying but if I filmed them separately then
the 001 would look artificially bright and the 101 artificially dark. This
way both are shown side by side in real with identical room lighting and
camera settings. This is genuinely what they look like side by side in real
life. I know it's not perfect but hopefully the video as a whole gives
people a good idea of what all these GBA versions look like side by side :)
dragonballZfreak199: promission to head bang???
shenmueso: ok, paused to comment straight away.. this video is like TAILOR MADE FOR
ME! lol i am back in the market for a handheld and have recently been
talkin to an ebay seller who advised me on which screen is best if im going
to invest! lol ok, now to watch..
Polaventris: Great video. Makes it clear why one should try to get the 101 instead of
the original 001.
f16madlion: Have you ever tried modding the original shape GBA? Has the best layout of
all imo. I modded a front light(from a GBA SP) onto one, but what i really
want to know is if its possible to put the 101 a back light or screen into
the original shape game boy Advance, any plans to poke around with that? :)
skinyme: Backlit makes a lot of difference
DaveSimonH: Reminds me of when I had my old Original release DS running against my DS
lite, its amazing how much better the games look.
RetroGameTech: That's awesome! I love remixed VGM and this is an epic track! Glad you
don't object to me using it in this video :) . Keep up the good work
ryanc519: where did you get the 101?
iGuruRevolution: Rally liked the video, I think it would have been better to have had the
same game in the AGS 001 and AGS 101 at the same time (I am sure you must
have a copy of at least ONE game) :D but if you didnt then no big deal.
Could you respond and let me know the track name -- it was epic!!!!
Masticina Akicta: It was worth getting the 101 model even though I already owned a 001 model.
Seriously a Backlit LCD + Front Lit... wooo! And yes it wasn't cheap :!
KingofPho75: can u do a vid on how to fix a broken gba micro screen. mine works but i
need a new screen.
Consoletronix: wow, i need to get me one of those 101s
WalterAlbiSheva7: retrogametech very great video
David Gallacher: I did a similar demo the other day to show a guy at uni the difference, I
had forgotten about our near identical micros though, lol
mikrobotmen: @f16madlion ive tried it once. but never succeeded. i my self is using an
afterburner for my agb
RetroGameTech: @RetroGameTech *real time*
TimeTeam1982: Fantastic vids also other than ebayuk where can I get a replacement micro
RetroGameTech: @dragonballZfreak199 Granted! XD
a3HeadedMonkey: Micro ftw!
Gamerzwarz: hey retrogametech are you partnered because if your not you should be
haidawe123: Oh mines the 001 that's why it looks weird.
HaxAras: @iGuruRevolution It's In The Description.
shenmueso: wait a sec, is this a fair video? i mean if you put the 101 right next to
the 001, isnt it going to adjust your cameras light balance so that the 001
looks artificially dark? i mean i know its crap compared to the 101 but you
should have filmed them separately imo. peace
