d money: I've replaced my belt 3 times now and used the belt conditioner as well and
it's still squealing. Anyone might know why?
david schmidt: this is cooter for real yee haw
FeTti lOw: Kool thanks
Corrosion37: why didnt you rev it to show us it squeaking before you added that?
spazotis: you should do this with the engine off,so you don't lose fingers and the
fan don't blow it away duh
JustinsDIY: I havnt checked my mail today, I will in an hour or so ill let you know!
beltstowing: I am going to sale the power choke too , it is going to be to big of a pain
to do that swap you know how that can be lol , look at the little black
bomb of yours ;)
john swisher: That old 283 sounds great....
beltstowing: this product breaks the glazing in the pulleys well , thats why I spray it
into the pulley , it is always the pulley on the accessory where the belt
will slip also , not at the drive source (the crankshaft)... it has to do
with the ratio of the pulleys , the alt pulley turns faster than the crank
, so that pulley and belt act just like a bad clutch in a car , you know
how the higher the gear you shift into the more it will slip thing ...
beltstowing: guess that would work , but the goat would eat my truck too though lmao
outdoorsman310: i wounder what this does to em and how it affects them aging
1972FordF150: I know I was kidding LOL
redneck2010ize: Pb blaster is all my stepfather will use i use WD.40 an a little wrench
itscool1968: maters belts look to have alot of play i n them even though you say all are
tight. should not flex like that when you rev it up :)
73Shakes: lol @1972FordF150
kerobinsonii: Wreckingcars72 also uses it to hold his pantyhose up ! LOL !
JustinsDIY: when i mailed it to you it was around 3 weeks before you made a video on it
biggdaddy2001: lol poor mans wish for a old belt to work in a can
beltstowing: it really does work well , I know you have heard maters belts squall , they
stopped , point proven in real life , and real time !
cwk1981: ive used that stuff for years and love it
travis bluecollar: ha ha
LouPremo: worked for me
beltstowing: did it have the big wheel power steering pump ? the cast pulley ? if so the
bushing in the pump was screwed , been there done that one , it caused that
belt to slip , the cast pulley does not really make any noise when the belt
slips on it , the belt overheated , came apart , and that took the other
belts out in the process , well atleast in the 3 oldsmobiles that I have
had belt issues out of lol
rehtardeudpossum: hmm i've heard really bad things about this product as well.. hmm and also,
is it normal for the the belt tensioner on the crown vic to bounce a little
bit or should it run preety smooth without it bouncing. it moves about a
half inch back and forth. also, what do you think about the j mod for those
84400: have you tried kroil? I think thats how its spelled comes in an orange can.
Heard real good stuff about that. I have never had much luck with PB. It
works well if you heat the bolt and then cool with PB but any lube works in
that setting. The freaze off worked well on the drain plug on my boat. used
half the can but it worked!
73Shakes: All I can do is shake my head. From the way he talked about it........I
think so! Makes you wander about his brake squeaks lol
towrecker: if used in line with directions , it will increase belt life ...if used
incorrectly , it will decrease it ...
redneckrollercoast1: crc makes some good products! love crc! and PB blaster!
beltstowing: it really helps on something that sets around more than it is driven too !
beltstowing: pb is junk beside ultra screw loose by CRC as a penetrate , and freeze off
beats them both for really rusted up stuff !
beltstowing: you are just a couple hundred miles away lmao , I think I could have had it
for a week before I made the video , because I don't go to the post office
but once or twice a week , I commented on your channel the day I got it ..I
think I did anyways lol I have slept a few times since then lol
beltstowing: there is to much distance between pulleys on that truck , and that is what
causes the belts to jump , the belts are actually so tight they , if you go
my the correct method of checking them way to tight , they have about 1/4
inch deflection , yeah thats all they have , and thats over tight big time
, it was coming out of the truck in a few days anyways , I wanted piece and
quite , new belts would prob be the answer those are hard as a rock ! it's
a 427 now , who cares ;)
ericrivas36: I use dw-40 works really well
HDXFH: I use a Candle, the wax helps to restore the belts grip & stop the squeaks!!
radmanocala: sometimes the pulleys get 'glazed' over and some sandpaper will usually
remove it and scuff up enough to turn quietly.
beltstowing: heck it's been a week today , I would have thought you would have had it by
last sat , I just stuffed something old , and something useful in there ,
pointless items , but one is useful , the other just neat lol
beltstowing: are , and have been ...
travis bluecollar: get a goat to eat the grass, run out if grass eat the goat!
dandee: thus it will affect belt life span ?
travis bluecollar: why don't you take 5 min and tighten it?
canadacatalyst: nice job! did you recycle the belt for the alternator cause it looks like
it is at the max for the tensioner!
joe blow: I can feel the torque!
northstar2007: oh, Well good then.
Zach Bennett: mine only squeaks at start up, why's that? They dont seem to be loose and
they dont squeak when i rev it up or anything
MrPhames: I know you can use a piece of chalk on the belt too. just hold it to the
ribs as they run and blam! no more squeaking!
charlenenaugain: i have a 2000 plymouth grand voyager se, i've replaced all 3 pulleys as
well as the belt but every time it rains it slips off.I had pepboys check
the tension they said it was good. i cant keep the belt from slipping if it
gets any water on it, it starts to slip. Do you think this product would
help? I've put over $500 in repairs for this same problem with no luck.
beltstowing: that's not true , you DO NOT GREASE A BELT !!! grease causes slip , glazing
, and does not have any place anywhere near a belt ! do you rub squeaking
brake pads down with wheel bearing grease ...really ?...
beltstowing: belts are dry , the belts slip till the accessories they are driving catch
up to the speed of the belt , alternators are the worse for this issue when
they excite after start up , spray your belts , a dry oxidized belt will
squall even if it is tight !
joe blow: Engine sounded perrrrrrrrrfect . nothing beats A well maintained old school
