LibertyFreedom1787: Is there a way to stop the usage notifications every single time I send/receive a call or text?
Lenard McLean: Yep. The W418g has a Sim since it uses AT&T's network via StraightTalk.
SaraST8: Hi! This is Sara from Straight Talk Wireless. We are willing to help you get this issue situated. Please send us an email at TF.CorpResolutionTeam@tracfone.com with your phone number, serial number and contact number together with the most convenient time for us to call you.
ShadeuShateauX: Ok ALL of the forums have been absolutely no help. I need to know hooooooooooow do you change the text tone on this phone. They all say just play with the settings but it doesnt pop up anywhere even the profile. There is not one menu that says preferences either. Can someone pleaaaaaaase give me a step by step on how to do this???
D “Wyatt” Gib: SaraST8, I just got this phone and after an hour and a bunch of codes put in, your tech support finally got the phone to work. Problem is, it'll do phone and text, but won't get on the web or send/recieve pic msgs. Another problem is that there seems to be no software anywhere to connect this to a PC to import the contacts from my previous phone Since I've already paid for the service, can the SIM I got with the phone be used in another unlocked Android phone my daughter just gave me?
Mazi Lewis: Don't that phone have a sim card?
Travis McGee: No, this phone is not for the web. You can text, calling is fine, internet, forget it. I bought mine a Walmart for $35 and a Straight Talk card for $30 for one month, no contract. It is what it is. If you want more, you're going to have to upgrade your phone and plan.
Terry Norman: First, I like your review. I like how you did it and it helped me decide to try this phone and Straight Talk. I wish you had reviewed it more from experience and not just "out of the box". Here's what I learned. First, this phone worked OK for calls and text messaging.
Terry Norman: For MMS messages, and pictures I had a lot of problems. Picture quality is poor. Not just comparable to a smart phone, but poor even compared to any cheap phone. Don't let the 2.0mp fool you. Straight Talk, who offers this phone, could not make it work. After countless trouble tickets and 2 replacement sim cards, we accomplished nothing. The phone feels cheap. The camera is a waste. It does take a microSD card which is its best feature. The mp3 player works but sound is lacking.
Terry Norman: My opinion of this phone and the Net10 w409G is to avoid them and Tracfone, Net10, and Straight Talk and go with a name brand regular provider you can trust. Personally, I choose T-Mobile. Customer service is my favorite and my phone works, doing everything it should. For $5 more, it's so worth it. Again, your review was well done. No one else had a review of this phone and I was glad to find it. I just wanted to include my experience.
harshaullal: and no SD card on refurb phone
harshaullal: Dude, I ordered a refurb version of this phone and just used it for 2 days and now the keypad doesn't respond to anything. i remove the battery for longer than 60 secs and reinsert to see the phone restart by itself and the same problem. Just doesn't respond to any buttons. Is there anyway i could use a reset by pressing a combination of buttons on the keypad then please let me know asap
twiisted starrz (soslightly): i bought the $45 plan, which comes with "web" ,but i have yet to get it to work. anyone else having the same problem?
Rustang351c: thanks for your review
Nikki Taylor: stumbled upon this at random/accidentally..I'm not at all interested in the phone, however I felt this review was very well done and helpful for someone who is in the market. You're well spoken, your voice carries well, and you make all of the important points. Nice job.
