Brandon Dorcas: How important is removing the thermostat that is in the steps on the yellow label?
I have a 96 maxima showing all the symptoms of a head gasket, the milky brown oil, and extra exhaust but not bad. Do I have to flush my oil or is draining and refilling for this process enough? Then change oil again after? Could this be bad in a 200k+ mile car loosening up that much crud with an engine flush just to clog something? I always used premium fuel for the last 30-40 fill ups so I don't know how much gunk there would be.
Tektonic: They should rename this "temporary hide your head gasket issues for selling" in a bottle.

Eric S.: I used this stuff on a 1992 BMW 525i. It worked well at first, but after about 800 miles started losing compression again. Then it got much worse as the sealant started getting cooked to my exhaust valves. All this is to say that Blue Devil is a band-aid, not a permanent fix. If you need to use it, still plan on getting your headgasket replaced. You could do real damage to the car if you try to ride this stuff too long.

Bungerism: This stuff is garbage,It's intended as an emergency repair to the nearest auto shop,NOT permanent repair,Do your research B4 you consider counting on that...Clogs most coolant flow ports and it takes @ least 3 engine flushes to get removed from your cooling system,Speaking from experience..........
