2WheelDeathMachine: A whole panel just to fix a ribbon connection? Nice way to get business for selling panels I guess :/
BitGridTV: I wish my TVs had such easy to fix faults... but here: cracks in the display from nothing, burnt PSUs, rotten solderjoints under inaccessible BGA Chips. and all this after the end of guarantee terms of course.
gedi knight: hi great video but how can you solder the new LCD Panel ribbon cable ?? could you do a video of this being don thanks
dara nou: my Tv Samsung Lcd TV 26 inc how to fix it Sir
Bananeman etc: no need for a new panel, just put some rubber strips between it.

Effect One Productions: Wel i'll try this :-) , i have a philips plasma 42 inch and i have 2 vertical lights on the left side. So tonight i will open up the device and see if i can fix it,
Andrei Andrey: Another thing I forgot to mention is that you cant find replacement pannels! I searched for a 43inch plasma tv and for a 40 inch LCD TV without any luck! If you find them there are really expensive!!!
Andrei Andrey: I did that 2 weeks ago (resoldered the contacts on 2 of the ribbon cable). At first ts I taught the cable is not thermal resistant however t looks like it can stand teperatures up to 450 celsius. Anyway you need lots of patience and a steady hand.
jane charnley: hi can you help i have a sanyo tv ce32ld81-b the pic was working 3" at top was good the rest was like a ready pic and slow moving pic was told it was the ribon on the t-board and was told to move it about with the power on till i get a good pic but now thers no pic at all iv got a new t-board coming oh the back light comes on but no pic and the sound is good can you help thanks
RecyclingLivesTV: It sounds like you have removed the two tabs connecting the LVDS (T-Con) board to the driver board as aposed to the tabs that bond the driver board to the LCD panel.
Check and double check your cable is perfectly lined up and securely cliped in place (the clips usually hinge upwards). You may need to replace your LVDS board but I would check all connections very carefully before spending any money.
Joseph Gallego: my tv has only two tabs on top. half of the screen was having a distorted issue with the picture. I removed both tabs then reconnected them. Now my Screen is a luminated black screen. Suggestions?
whiskeyify: maybe there was a cheaper way to fix this ...you might use it to fix your own set but when it's a customer's tv we don't want to do that. we don't want sets coming back.
RecyclingLivesTV: Weighing up the cost against buying a replacement TVs is obviously the best way to decide whether any repair is worth doing but we will leave that decision to our customers.
RecyclingLivesTV: Our videos are intended to help individuals without TV repair experience understand and identify the likely cause of a fault. The tabs are originally bonded at the factory. You can fix many things with scotch tape but it wouldn’t be very professional for us to give such advice. Replacement panels start from £29.99 in our eBay shop so they are not as expensive as you may think.
isaacjrv: they replaced the lcd for a ribbon issue, what a pro, you just check the flex, replace it and if the connection is the problem, re-soldering will do trick and of course cheap way some scotch tape and problem will go away, replacing an lcd for that???? is better to buy a new tv instead.
