Terry Agosta: My hard drive must be baked...  started when I loaded a security software package and now everytime I turn around there's another problem.  Can't update, can't free up disc space and can't run trouble shooting, and can't repair or correct drive errors.
Running an HP Envy TS 17 Notebook.  Any suggestions about where to start?

Kathryn Agosta: I followed your 1st step (pressing F12 during start up) and it appears to be running...
It's been froze for a few days, I was freaking, but I think with your help I'll get it straightened out.  Can't thank you ENOUGH!!!

Corey Slark: None work for me

Greg French: You should be able to reboot to a CD/DVD to perform a new installation. If you can't use F12 to change the boot options to boot from the CDROM you can change it in the BIOS.

Greg French: Yes...the factory default is like when you first got it without any files, data, or installed programs.
