Did this video help you?

Bill Sutherland: Is there a way to prevent the distortion at the beginning of the bend? Love the demo! Thanks.

HOTSAUCE: Gotta have one.

pedalpunk57: @pedalpunk57 Hey man, no problem.

Douglas Smith: @pedalpunk57 That is funny at the end how you said that. It made me smile :) Someone understands me

pedalpunk57: @honeybunchickens I honestly have no idea, it's all Greek to me man....I, much like you can't stand all the constant changes in modern technology. Why bother buying a new Apple iPad when next week one better will come along and make you look prehistoric? I can't stand things that are"the rage". I don't give a damn about what's trending on Twitter, twooter or whatever the hell they call it. And yeah, I'd rather be building stuff or working on my car, listening to oldies and crack open a soda.

Douglas Smith: @pedalpunk57 I have to check on this particular video of mine every ounce in a while just to check if I have a comment. I never use to do that I would just look at my emails and it was easier way easier. :(

Douglas Smith: @pedalpunk57 oh Thank you, Im not really a computer guy like the new generation provides in people. I feel as if Im thrown into the wrong generation sometimes especially with all these new gadgets nowadays especially i can't hardly ever keep up. Some people thats all they do is update themselves with new electronic technology when Im always in the garage building mechanical stuff. When somebody writes a comment on youtube it doesn't go to my email anymore how do I fix that?

pedalpunk57: But I'm still going to buy it, just have to wait longer.

pedalpunk57: That sounds great, man. I had contemplated buying a hydraulic bender from Harbor Freight mainly because of the low cost, but then I saw yours and I had to ask. I may still go with the H.F but I will have to pack the pipe with sand and cap off both ends just to avoid kinks when bending the pipe. I would wait until I can afford the one you have, but I am one of those guys just itching to get back in the garage and build some bikes. By the way, I've been following your work and I'm impressed.

Douglas Smith: @pedalpunk57 I am super happy with this pipe bender. It does the job pretty good. Not so good with thin wall tubing pipe. Does a bitchin job with pipe 1/8 thick wall at 1'' 1/4 OD and also the 2'' OD with the same 1/8'' thickness wall as shown on this vid does the job really good. I can't complain with this pipe bender at all. Less then $700 your set with one die and this bender ready to bend some pipes in your back yard. Not just any bends. Professional style bends that look awesome :)

Douglas Smith: @pedalpunk57 I've bough't it at a place called schorr metals down my street. The assembly with no stand or any dies was $350 on sale. The dies retail for $200 to $250 each die. The 2'' die I paid 320 on sale but they go for $350 to $450 on eBay. The stand is pretty easy to make but they go for $140 on eBay. eBay sales these JD2 model 3 benders pretty reasonable for the quality they provide. Its not china. Its USA quality. I've put this bender on hold for the longest time and finely got one

pedalpunk57: Where did you purchase this pipe bender from? Online or a catalog? And what did it retail for?
