TerraFirmaEntertain: When I tried to make the startup files I had some trouble with making it
use my headset. To get it I need to have 'Speakers (Turtle Beach P11
Headset)', which is longer than allowed by VAC. I had a look at what VAC
called my headset so it would be compatible. It came up with 'Speakers
(Turtle Beach P11 Head' which I typed into the bat file, but it said that
it could not find the audio cable. Any feedback would be greatly
appreciated. Thank you.
B000Y4H: Every time i set Line 1 as default I cant hear youtube and stuff like that
iAndy: I tried to get this working the way you described in this video but I'm
using Bandicam which only has 2 channels so I got it working another way.
Here's my setup that worked: 3 cables, 4 audio repeaters: 1 AR = line1 -
speakers, 2 AR = Line2 - speakers, 3 AR = Line2 - Line3, 4 AR = Microphone
- Line3. Set recording in bandicam to line 1 and 3, set skype to send
audio to line 2. Set Line 1 to default device and speakers to default comm
device in playback Sound settings. (make sure listen is turned off of
everything in record sound settings)
This way you don't hear your voice, but it's still recorded. Game sound is
recorded to channel 1, both mic audio and skype are recorded to channel 2
on the video.
Threefeet: Great tutorial, especially the batch file. Thanks!
Aphixin: I have 2 line 1's how do I make the 2nd line 1 into a line 2?
Tailstrike: They do match - my setup is exacrly the same - its not finding the
audiorepeater_ks portion of the string in the first batch file. Is the
location string where the file is installed or is it for where it isnin the
Tailstrike: Great guide working an absolute treat - the only thing i am having trouble
with it the batch file. It wont work for me - tells me it cant find the
audio repeater - using win7 - is it because i have it installed on a
different drive? It just shows the programfile string saying its
invaild/cant be found
MrLayVon: My audio get mixed together in line 1 and 2. So my teamspeak and game audio
are together. But line one is fine, just game audio, line 2 is mixed, and
my mic is fine. Any help?
TheFeistyGamer: why does it keep saying "trial"
shankly1985: Because you not bought the software :p
Meepit99: Can you plz help me, I have windows xp, and i don't know how to set Line 1
as default device and my speakers on Default communication device? (sorry
for bad english :D)
shankly1985: Try messing about with the buffer and parts, I also had audio issues till I
adjusted my settings to the one's you see in the video.
joshua boswell: I have this problem too and I have install everything
cheatdude78: I somehow fixed it, how however sometimes the game volume gets really
choppy and i have to disable and enable line 1. (Im following your settings)
CaretakerMovies: Hey when I try to change the name in the 2nd .bat file I select my
speakers; Speaker (High Definition Audio) like you did with the Realtek but
somehow it doesnt work, any suggestions, I've tried everything, pls need
some help, would've been much easier if the .bat files were actually
shankly1985: Default The Mic I was using at the time isn't really any good, it made the
sound echo :( I tried clear it up abit using Vegas but I think I did make
it worst in some places.
shankly1985: Everyone system is different, my setting I used for example might not be
good on your system. Mess around with the Buffer. A Higher Buffer = better
sound, but will have a delay A Lower Buffer = Good sound if setup correct
but less a Delay.
spacemole: Slow at 1st, but loved that you included the shortcuts.
Jorge94CB: nothing. It dont work. I think is a problem with realtek, that cant change
to 24bits... ill try to reintall it! thanks anyway! :D
MrDewyable: It is saying to me the RealTek HD Audio Output for me it says, "No
appropriate pin found for output device. It it usally occurs in to major
cases: -Device deoes nto support Request format.
SharkyAndTheBear: It's alright, man. I found a solution. Thanks for making this tutorial by
the way - it makes using VAC so much simpler.
MrTriggel: Yeah Dxtory all the way. Just checked it is recording at 1080 ill have to
check on sony. Ive found a temporary solution implementing
'yt:stretch=16:9' into my tags but i think that is lowering the quality of
the video. Thanks for the help :)
Harm Meyer: thanks man really helped!
shankly1985: Have you opened the control panel that comes with VAC? when changing
settings make sure you not got the VAC set as default playback device, or
the changes wont work. Reason you might not get sound is because you not
got Audio cable 2 working.
shankly1985: Try setting default back to Realtek and restart PC/Laptop now try and
change the setting. Maybe the Repeater is still in use some how so not
allowing you to change setting.
shankly1985: Hello Have you made sure on the audio repeaters you have you default audio
selected? So repeater 1 VAC1 to VAC2 then on Repeater 2 VAC 2 to your audio
ThornVictim: i get an error when trying to connect cable 2 to my speakers it says error
no appriotiate pin found
shankly1985: Try messing with the Buffer increase it a tiny bit.
VGMTaylor: Nope unfortunately this isn't the case, the output on skype is set to line
2 but line 2 still picks up game audio as well as skype, even though line 1
just picks up game audio
shankly1985: This happens if you trying to change settings and have Virtual cable
selected as default output. If you still cant change the setting restart
1337XPS: Thanks I got it working in Dxtory. Still have some Quality problems, i
don't get overflow oder underflows but still sometimes crackles. :I
BrtTrp: I didn't do it the exact way you did, I had both lines wave out to my
headphones. The .bat part is really helpful though, thank you for that.
Playing DayZ with a large squad is going to be more bearable in vegas now.
I have a question though, in the other tutorial I followed the buffer is
set to 100ms and the parts to 5. I get a decent amound of overflows, what
does changing the parts do exactly? Lastly, do you do any editing
resynching? You'd have to drag the audio to the right, that I know.
shankly1985: That is very strange lol Your Mic shouldn't show up on playback device has
its a recording device. Tbh am not sure why it is doing that :(
iFuZiiOnZTuts: Hey buddy I have a problem with the batch file .. My audio playback device
is called "Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 Pro" and the batch file gets me
an error telling me that the name is longer than 31 characters so it can't
find it ... Any fix ? (Error message : Name cannot be longer than 31:"Sound
Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 Pro")
MineCraftNeedsYou: also when I use the kernal program it doesn't save my gameplays
shankly1985: Sounds like you missed something. Have you started the both audio cables?
also you need to make sure you setting the correct default device.
shankly1985: You not set it up correct... You need VAC1 Skype etc VAC2 Game audio and
then your Mic... if you setup VAC correct VAC1 and 2 will pass back into
your Headset or on-board audio, but Dxtory will record these separate... So
also look in Dxtory Options and make sure you have VAC1 and VAC2 in there.
ZeTamboh: Im getting a delay on everything.
cheatdude78: Im just testing it out (not recording yet) and the mic is acting as a
speaker. Seems my mic and speakers have the same drivers/names so its
acting as a stereo mix
BlackVectom: Both my game and skype sound comes through both VAC1 and VAC2, why is that?
DARKARMORGamer e: i came here for Women ass. XP
Hexpigge: OS, codecs are also important. HDD is not all, but you need at least 40mb/s
for 720p video. Also CPU, disable all unused programs before starting to
play. Resolution too. Don't play on 1080 if you can't record in 1080. I
suggest you download x264vfw - h.264/mpeg-4 AVC codecs! Google the name,
find a tutorial ; ].
YourMomma69: I like the background ;)
shankly1985: That happen when the Repeater is still in use. So remove it from default
playback device. You cant change setting when the Repeater is open and
working it needs to be stopped. Hope this helps
shankly1985: In windows audio and playback device have you set the realtek to output
24bit there also?
shankly1985: You need to change the buffer try 150 copy my settings that I use.
Tom Barda: thanks for this video! It was exactly what i was looking for! helped me
ALOT! keep the great work up bro!
Rime: Ok, thanks. Great vid still, helped me a lot!
Upstagebuffalo: I figured it out, I just made line 1 my default communications device while
making my speakers the default instead of what you said in the video (I did
it backwards to get it to work) and made the audio repeaters - Line 1 to
Speakers - and Line 2 to Speakers and it works perfectly, now I just need
to know what to call speakers in the bat file and I will be finished :)
Jorge94CB: The error still there. But when I change from 24 to 16 it works fine. I
only get these error on the repeater with realtek output... :'(
