FastLaneDaily: We got a brand new episode to wrap up this chilly week.
eurocon .: lol at the Fiat joke
Been watching this for months and that was the very 1st time DerekD
actually made me laugh!
Dan H: #FLDQoftheD I love the new STi. I've always been a fan of Subaru. I hope
there will be a hatchback version available, but if there isn't, the STi
won't be any less fun. I look forward to the official reveal in Detroit
PainEditz: sti does look good i was so scared that wrx looked jacked
HouseStark: Why does the new wrx look like the evo 10...
TripleLinde: (Derek D's Facebook status) Whoa, hold on...I always knew I enjoyed it, but
never knew it had a name...The "Bikini Bridge"! If you don't know as well,
Google Image search it...you're welcome.
.... thank you very much Derek D
cilvrado: Since when are FLD and /DRIVE in bed?
Merp: Needed hatchback option, and direct injection with 350hp. When the
Chrysler, Golf R and even the new Kia can have close to or more than the
STI its sad that they just stick with the same motor. My STI stock was
stomped by my friends BMW X1 and it cost the same yet has tons more
features and better MPG.
Dmitri Felbinger: from the front that STI looks more like its main competitor the Mitsubishi
Evo X!!! IMO there are losing their heritage from B22
just compare the two
Pokabyss: Rwd chrysler 200? Now I want that chrysler.
mrabudi1: drifting was never allowed in saudi arabia lol, they'd always have cops
going around just to catch people drifting
Chris Bisson: DEREK STOP SAYING THE NEW WRX/WRX STI IS A 2.5, YOU HAVE SAID IT EVERY WRX
VIDEO EVER. and thats my ocd attack… but the engine is a FB20 2 litre, not
the EJ25 anymore. Keep up the good work tho fld!
Riles07: Woo a new STI! Can't wait to drop $50K on a compact Japanese economy car
with bad gas mileage, CRAZY expensive parts and service, and a magnet to
attract men and police officers, but repel women because they don't want to
hear about how good it is in the snow.
We all know who buys these freaking things lol
pbfloyd13: The biggest problem I have with this car is the styling they got rid of the
distinctive look of the Impreza and made it look like every other compact
"4 banger" grocery getter, so now it just looks like the sad mix of a Honda
civic, Toyota corolla, and Nissan versa; with an aftermarket body kit
half-heartily stuck on.
MIke Mancino: the new WRX is awful. the STI is bad in terms of styling. overall the car
is a complete fail.
Marcel West-Bailey: Did he just say RWD option in a Chrysler 200?
dazz bog: IMHO the best subis were 1st and 2nd generation and evos I - IX. There was
just something about them, and these cars today are just ehh, trying to
pack as much useless technology as they can.
marc ginsberg: i gotta say that the new chrysler 200 is a gigantic step up from the
sebring it was before
sigmapsicharlie: look at all those men in women's clothes...
Law19157: so what?....those kinds of things are illegal in the States too
RussyG32: This new Sti is worse than the hatch, I don't consider it a Subaru
what-so-ever! It wont even sound like a Subaru...
Laurynas: I remember when Subaru introduced that hatchback version, most of the
people didnt like it at all couse previous STIs were sedans, now there will
not be hatchback version and people are upset about it.
Trades46: The new STI is a massive disappointment.
In 1993, 280hp from a 2.0T was incredible (hot hatches only barely makes
150hp). In 2007, 305hp from 2.5T was good, but many 'hot hatches' (e.g
Mazdaspeed 3 & Golf R) produces nearly as much.
Cue 2014, and you give us the same load of BS? The A45 AMG is spitting out
360hp from a 2.0T now. Get your act together Subaru!
GenkiElite: Those guys aren't drifting. Please don't lump them in with the rest of us.
Phuong Le: i think the new STi looks nice. not nicer than the previous generation but
its still a subaru its still an sti. ppl complaining "oh its a corolla"
like stfu ppl bitch bout mustang having live rear axle but...you still them
on the streets!! EVERYWHERE. as far as handling and performance wise
compare to the previous gen. iono. and yes a hatch wud be better.
STREETRACEN4U: i love the middle eastern drifts, im mad the gov is going to ban them but
people will still do it anyways! i would love to see one of those events in
ErebosGR: Once again the Rapid Fire News segment is more interesting than the rest of
Ryan Grant Hendricks: Really didn't expect that much cabin noise inside a Mercedes... Weirder me
Abo sen: really happy and proud of you guys n this channel especially about Saudi
drift cuz you do understand what is it exactly.
Honestly there is no place to drift in Saudi (hagwalah) and it's really
hard to arresting drifter cuz they do it under nicknames and 90% of the
cars are rental with fake ID.
So hopefully thoses boys find real care from Motorsport in saudi.
If you interesting and want see how they have amazing control by the car
over 220 Km just let me know and i will help you.
comgeturs: Looks like the Evo X lol, which isn't a good thing.
SaTrickster: Im from saudi arabia and every day i go and see people drift (hagwalah) yes
its illigal but alot of youngsters drift with rwd or fwd and some get
busted and some get away with it
Brian Wong: Looks like hooning IS a crime.
barath4545: Regarding the Saudi drifting rules, then I doubt it will really affect
anything. Most of those guys are (or used to be) petty criminals, most of
the cars are stolen (rental) cars and mortality rates are high in this pass
time sport for those participating in them, as they are
thrill-rides/manhood-testers for the nothing-to-lose poor criminals. If
they do get caught, they are likely to face alot worse than any of the
mrsquishyboots: get a used Porsche over a new golf r for 40k
Biohazard667: #qofthed well I have 2 things to say: 1, it looks super cool and I would
like to own one of those in the future. 2: PHUCK the hatchback! to me that
was a huge mistake.. so i'm happy that it's gone
Felix Xixon: #FLDQoftheD I've always liked the hatchback, but if they are not going to
make one for the upcoming STi then I'll stick with the current hatchback. +owen
gijon two of our favorite cars Golf R and WRX STi.
Nebderf M: Pshh all that jail time? I feel like the Saudi's will just execute them as
they try and get away
TheMrIVXX: those saudis' gas is too cheap. idiots.
mgmcd1: Is it really that noisy in that Benz? Sounds pretty boomy.
WEKRAYS: No hatch? holy cow, subaru!
Ajlan Al Ajlan: It's illegal to drift in Saudi since before.. I went to jail just for
following a drifter.
jesse knoblock: I was extremely upset that they brought out a hatchback STI before the
I was very happy they brought out the Sedan STI, and I hate the hatchback
version anyways. I won't miss it.
Carrera911Fan: Can you guys make AK host an episode please ? I think it would be badass !
Thomas Nikzad: #fldqofthed
Very sad with the no hatchback wrx or sti models
Tubz: I liked the hatches, seeing one of those on the road is more noticeable and
outstanding than the non hatches
vubevube: can't wait for new episode and Dereks view of the new toyota concept
I am Decent: New STI looks like an evo x...
Peter Sims: #FLDQoftheD
Looks better then the hatch for sure. Flared guards on a hatch looks weird.
Sure hatches are more practical, but do we buy fast cars because they are
practical? Probably not.
marc ginsberg: #fldqofthed i love the new sti as i love all subarus but i wish that it
came with 4 variants just like previous models one sedan (like now) one
coupe (like the late 90's) one hatch (like previous generations) and one
wagon (like the 2002-2007 wrx's)
Riles07: Did not intentionally mean to insult Erica. Subaru offers probably the best
of exceptional "all-rounders", most of their cars make good sense. I'm glad
STI's are made too, but they are in reality more difficult to attain and
own (new or used) than Subaru fan's are willing to admit.
