conchim99: my 96 Madza MPV has broken timing belt. Do you know how to put cylinder one back to Top Dead Center? thanks. I'm changing the belt right now
MrUnknownfornow: i have the round distributor cap and i have put the plugs the way it is in the book and it doesnt work. do you know where the plugs go in the cap
Travis Sanders: your tensioner is defective. you have to grind some off of the brass bushings so that the bolt that holds it ddown does not squeeze the tensioner its self. After tightening this bolt the tensioner must pivot freely. email me your phone number and I will call you. my email is t8085579058 at yahoo.com
Navin Indardeo: are you sure its a DOHC im pretty sure is a SOHC
uthmanamoni: Man I wish I was nearby I'd lend you a hand. I love these mpv's its been five months I just KNOW you've gotten it fixed by now
Beats From Chicago: you have to take the hydro tensioner out under the lower pulley, compress it with a vise or c clamp until the holes in it meet, stick a pin to hold it down, put it back, line the marks and pull the pin.I dont know how you managed to break the pulley bolt in there because its not suppose to thread into the hole it just slides in.
ELCCABRON: also i see something weird with the tensioner pulley you sure you got the richt parts? send me a message to my youtube acount i cans send you instructions and images from mitchel on demand they will help a lot replacing the timing belt one these truck is easy
ELCCABRON: hey i got mitchell on demand i could send you instructions hot to do the timing belt on this mpv a friend already replaced a timing belt in one of these trucks and it was easy
Zore Zmith: you might need to buy a new tensioner and line up with timing marks. buy a hanyes manual.
Calcutta151: When you get it runnin, make a vid rippin thru some mud ! Its 4x4 right?
rsarp: Nope it's still sitting there. I've had too much to do to fix it, especially without some help. I did get some advice on pre-tensioning that I will use if/when I get back to it.
paul hunter: yeah i know what u mean, im always fixing my dad old BMW. If it was mine id prob have sold it.
