TheChrisParkhouse: hi, how difficult was it to reposition the air con unit first?
AphtabAmbit: Great video, Thank you. How about the wire that is to be connected to the
brake? is that really needed?
BlaCKMaGiC2K8: DEEPGAMEBOY, Nope mate no snswer to my question, typical for youtube haha,
looks pretty much the same installation to what I can see, ile get back to
you mate after some research...
S.2018: do you have any videos for doing this on e90
steve23guy: what unit is that? im in the U.S. i dont have an m3, i have a 02 325i. you
have a link or anything sir? thats for the tutorial, looks simple enough...
maxxbad17: Is there DVB?
fpostigo100: Hi, how's the sound quality of the radio?
jorge justino: Hi can that sterio also fit on bmw 5 series.
Martin Chapman: Hi excellent tutorial, hats off to you. I have a 2001 E46 320iSE and am
considering purchasing one of these incredible items but would like to know
if this type is compatible with my car. Many thanks in anticipation of your
diffusion90: 123 whitehall....mate please help me.i recently bought a 520d 2007 and i
would like to change the entertainment system and fit in one with satnav
and maybe with dvd player...but its definitly going to be one with satnav
possibly the cheapest i there is on the market..any recomendations on what
system i need to buy /make/design and which shop i should approach or who i
should call visit
123whitehall: The wire hanging down on the left at 6:21 is the ipod lead that I ran in to
the glovebox. My headunit came with an adapter lead for the radio antenna.
There'e is a 3mm jack plug for the TV antenna (dvb-t).
bulletproof2353: few qusetions 1)so do they make only one model?or are there better models
as well 2)also can you play a dvd movie while the car is driving? 3)and
does the unit have blue tooth? 4)and is there a unit that plugs into the
service connector under the steering wheel so that you can get error codes
and engine data on the nav screen,or sent via blue tooth to a laptop
,ipad, iphone,? 5)or can the engine data be accessed by this unit through
the cam bus connection?
Selwyn Harris: Is it posible to get a replacement 40 pin power cable for the unit ?
BlaCKMaGiC2K8: Can anyone tell me is this the same as doing an 02 316ti e46 compact?
Rayrockny: Hey thanks so much for this vid. I just purchased one of these for about
$700 US and it arrived today, I look forward to installing it this weekend.
I have two questions, I need to install my amp and sub woofers to this
system, but where is the amp remote wire and the sub outputs? anybody know?
oemcargps: @123whitehall viewo oemcargps
IPhone3GsMaster: i live in the us but i can seem to find pit were tjey sell them so please
blackassass21: good vid pal
Mayrton71: Hi, thanks for this move. Very helpfull. The GPS arial was not in the box
of my purchase. Any tips where I can get it so the mounting will fit?
S.2018: How much would it cost to get someone to do this for you
beemerliam: Great video, how much did you pay for the unit?
DJ Nimz: Can you also install that unit into the bmw 316ti ??
Aaron Hughes: Great video man, cheers for taking the time
Michael Squires: Nice install. What stereo is that you put in
Rayrockny: Hey I am trying to install the same unit into my car 2001 bmw 330ci. I have
the same exact wire as you. What is that wire hanging down to the left at
6:21? It seems to be my radio antenna but I don't have a connection for it.
jampasss: which cable set go's into the in part and in the out part
syhprum: I really enjoyed your video, it is aways nerve wraking dismantling the
plastic bits of cars as you never know how much force to use as there might
be hidden screws. Everything works fine but I would have liked a better
user manual but we don,t speak Chinese and they don't speak english. two
things I would like to do is that I can do on my Navigon are to run a
simulation and get a turn by turn list but I am still trying! The total
cost with a great deal going on transport cost was about £450.00
DEEPGAMEBOY: Good question mate.. Did you get an answer?
123whitehall: The unit is made by a Chineese company called Haulingan. Model code is
HL-8788. They don't sell to the genral public, but if you search ebay you
will find a US retailer. This model will fit all E46 3 Series and is
compatible with your steering wheel controls (if you have them). Good Luck
with your search.
myketwo: too expensive...bettter buy an ipad2 and looks much cooler :-)
123whitehall: @Stivesstu Assuming you have purchaced exactly the same unit?.... the
longest wire I had with the package was the wire for the gps receiver which
sits on top of the dashboard. If this is the wire you're talking about.....
yes you do have enough room behind the headunit to lose the extra length.
Stivesstu: Great video. I recently bought one of these units but haven't yet installed
it. The main wiring cable that came with mine is about 5m or 6m long. I
notice yours is much shorter. Will I be able to cram all of this cable into
the available space? Why is my cable so long?
Pete2262: Brilliant but how do I know if my BMW M3 can be upgraded without taking
most of the dash apart before hand? Thanks again in advance regards Pete.
momuod: what is the relocation part called
Sonereyup Dogan: Well done
Hosam Hittini: My car has the AC control at the top...how can I install the screen?
Chris Lyford: @Rayrockny hey i am thinking about buy a unit for my 328ci do u have to buy
a seprate sat nav unit to go in my boot
Benkpressmannen: The vent is really NOT coming out in my car :(
Martin Chapman: Hi again at 8.01 you've connected the Sat Nav up screwed it on what is the
big bundle of wires all tied together and when you push the block into
place does all that lot fit? Also do you get any error messages come up?
Thanks again. Stumpy. PS: Have noticed most of your entries are from 2
years ago but are you still able to answer. Thanks.
thecameleonz: Is the unit compatible with the BMW voice command system?
Elan Bension: hi, do you know if this works if there is a factory installed tv unit
Stivesstu: I found out that the cable they sent was a "fakra" cable for wiring up to
the power and audio connections in the boot. I have a 2003 M3 so don't need
this. I've read that they are exactly the same cable and I'm pretty sure
it's too bulky to fit in the dash so I could cut it down to size and splice
the wires together I guess.
Sameer Noorbhai: Very nice of you to show us how to do this install but your voice is highly
Stivesstu: Yes, it's the same. I bought mine direct from China. The cable is the main
loom containing all the wires that connect to the unit to the car's
electrics. It's wrapped in a black cloth. Looking at other people's pics on
the internet I can see that this is usually about a foot long - which is
all it needs to be. I could cut it shorter and rewire it but if there's
space behind the dash then that's great. I had read that everything's a
tight fit. Thanks
Tommy Barnes: I have a question: I want to do exactly what you did and I want to buy the
A/C relocation but I dont know whether I need to 18mm or the
16mm.................How do I know which one that I have so I can get the
right one? I know that I could measure but a millimeter is so close I may
get it wrong!
Simon Williams: can you turn off the beep on the volume buttons etc?
Brannorkie: How do I know if I need the 16mm or 18 mm a/c relocation unit?
Shahwaiz Khan: Is this better than the original bmw one?
mista blitz: @123whitehall...hello mate just wondered about the air con relocation if u
have 2 buttons on the switch do u use your original switch cover or is this
also a separate part ( the thin strip were the instrument panel is),and do
u know if 18 mm is for switch with individual buttons ..cheers .great vid
