Dianne Frazier: How long should this take? I took my mountaineer to freestone and after 3 hours they still did not have it fixed cue to going to work i have go take it back
michael wood: My brothers explorer door handle is not working but the handle itself isn't broken. It is the yellow clip shown at 5:16 in the video. Anyone know where I can get just that clip?
Maurice Benjamin: This works for the 99 mountaineer?
gnikmi: thank you guys. I purchased all the time from 1A auto
Carlos Lovera: great work //thanks
Danny S Hodges: GOOD JOB
Dennis Desilets: This video was very helpful i watched it twice before i did the job.it saved me time and gave me the confindence to do the job right the first time
Rich Saltz: I broke the yellow clip. How do I get myself out of this one. :)
Vivian Parker: Thanks so much, I worked on it for over a hour til I saw your video. That little plastic clip had me puzzled. It was just a snap lol
jond983: This video was very helpful. I'm now a subscriber
tobie williams: thank you this helped me out a lot I would have never thought of doing it like that I was working on it for 3 hours until I saw this video thank you for saving me money thank you it has helped me
Robbie Bunton: I am getting ready to order this handle from you but do you offer the bolts as well? I see it says hardware not included.
By the way, awesome videos. I look online for your videos all the time for this POS explorer.
Richie Lopez: hey mike great videos can u do a video for a 01 Ford Escape Drivers Side Exterior Door Handle replacement that would be appreciated thanks
Kevin Nissen: I really appreciated the video, much easier to watch something than try to use just the Chilton manuals. It's the little details that make all the difference. Anyway, I have a 2000 Ford Explorer XLT. When it came to drilling out the rivets, I found that using a 1/4 inch drill instead of a 5/16 worked much better. I didn't need to use a chisel at all. Thought I would add my experience to the subject. Also, it is imperative that the clip on the rod be replaced in the exact same spot or you will run into a door handle that still won't open the door. No big deal, but a waste of time to have to remove and install the door panel a second time. Thanks again.
Jim Schwarzbach: I'm bummed that I purchased the handle from Amazon, then when it arrived I discovered this video. I will absolutely bookmark 1aauto.com for the next part I need to order.
Great video, thanks for making it! When I got to the yellow clip thing my pliers and the yellow clip had an argument and the clip won. I found it easier to unclip using my fingers.
rayworx: My 2003 was slightly different than the video (1 screw at the door jam) but for the most part was perfect. I used metric bolts 6x1 10mm long w/ 6mm flange nuts to secure the handle. Just for safety I put a couple drops of blue locktite on the threads before tightening. This video was very valuable....thanks a bunch.
vail8150: Buying parts is one thing I do with 1A Auto because of price and fast delivery....but the real reason is because you save me thousands of dollars of repair on my cars and trucks via the videos that are clear and well organized....things I would have never considered doing on my own you make simple to do after watching your videos. Thank you so much very these. My VW 2000 Passat 4motion has > 300K miles and still runs like a sewing machine! Too bad for the new car dealers!
g richard anderson: Thanks for taking the mystery out of this for me. I try to do as much as i can myself. Up to about 340K now.
Bob Long: I have a 1998 Ford E 150 van, the double back doors and double side doors will not open from the inside or the out, and they are not locked, do you have a video on how to repair that? Thank you, Bob
Mike Giammarino: thank you for doing this video it helps.
