HowToAndMore: Yep, my has been out of commission for yeearrss now after the motherboard cooked itself to death because they put a pathetically small copper while for cooling... I had to take it apart and bake it in my oven to fix it but that was only temporary.
Never again, HP.
Neo Sama: watch out with HP!
I bought a dv7 3 years ago, I had 2 years warranty aand guess what!
2 months after the warranty was expired everything started breaking, first my vent then my battery and now my keyboard.

ajsharrock1: whats the battery life like?
MrMonsterCactus: It's been explained to me completely differently. I've been instructed it's nothing to do with speed, statistics, et cetera, instead to do with size. e.g laptop > notebook > netbook and netbook < notebook < laptop.
NAMSTheMediaCow: no it doesnt
LongWal1: does the hp logo light up?
TheSam596: What model is this
HowToAndMore: Windows 7
TheTeamKIDS: is this a Windows Vista?
Or A Windows XP?
WindowsLooks: Notebooks and laptops are the same things! You are thinking of 'Netbooks' like the Acer Aspire one and MSI Wind. Notebooks and Laptops have better processors (Duel, Triple or Quad Core) whereas most netbooks use the Intel atom. Which is used for its low power consumption and average performance!
WindowsLooks: most setup's for most computers, Dell, HP, or any make, use a setup dedicated from the windows 7 operating system, so it is really simple things, such as - What is the name of your user account you would like to set up, what it it's password. What is the time, where do you live, and what security settings would you like to use! :) Hope that helps. just to say - I dont have this laptop, but from experience, i can tell you what i know. WindowsLooks

crazydevil360: dose the keyboard light up?? and just to say the dell inspiron 17 inch is beter =D
namrA odrajaF: Wow. Dedicated numeric keys. Is this the 17 inch version?
HowToAndMore: Actually I really like it. I've always like HP computers and this one is great. As long as you take care of it, like any computer, it should last you a while. It's got the simplicity for a great school computer, and the power for HD video editing. The only problem I've had with the computer is actually something that has just recently been happening... When starting up the screen doesn't turn on all the time. Apparently it's a fairly common problem with the DV7 and has a fix.
Conner Daggett: nice video!! how is the computer so far?! i need a good computer for school that i can use for presentations and typing? would this computer be up for the job?
SlourDippy: It sucks that it's not intel...
RandyV8MW2: Merry Christmas! :)
ViniciusLimaRS: freak pause negative to you
HowToAndMore: I got this laptop for around $700 last year. But I think you can get them for a lot less nowadays. I'm not entirely sure, but I believe the model is dv7-3065dx.
