MrCofl1001: so, who is bmsweb, the boy in front of the camera or the guy behind it ? :)
JamesWhom: Great video! Looking forward to getting my hands on this set. :)
spentfromnz: Cool kid there, and well mannered. Hope to one day share my hobbies with a
son or daughter too.
JYTheKiller: Hi! What is the ratio of the included camera? 4:3 or 16:9?
mrpeter81: Well raised kid! You are a good father! =)
IEnjoydebeer: so do u think this is a better choice for my first goggles? thinking of the
Teleporters for 90$ less,, do the predator's have better res or wider
screen? help me!! thanks
lumeah4: Great vids - always grateful for your advice and insights. I know it's
early days with the Predator V2 but have you considered modding with the
dylan drums: Thanks very much for the fast reply :)
GeorgeBonez: Colin watched like 3 of your vids tonight. The one on the beach, the
unboxing and the one with your expert 5K dude. He always comments on how
nicely dressed Thomas is and I have to show him that Thomas does always
dress up and how that must have been a special day for Thomas like we do on
Sunday. The questions that Colin asks are so funny!
Hoverbot1TV: Wow, 156g that is light! I am holding up 360g with my 4.3tft screen
headset. I am still working on a stereo headset with two cams on quad but
need components. nice comparison vid, fly well Thomas!
BMSWEB: The ATTITUDE V5 is not Predator, is that what you're talking about
BMSWEB: 110% correct!
cemocan1990: Thank you very much for this Video. I am from Germany and since 3 weeks i
am thinking about which Goggle shall i Buy. Now i am going to buy the V2. I
have just One Question, what is the Range of this System ???
BMSWEB: For what its worth my dad never bought me that much but then again he
worked very hard for what little money he earned. Be a cool person yourself
and it will all come together :)
BMSWEB: No, you use your aircraft's battery to power the Transmitter. It can be
powered by either a 2S or 3S Balance Plug from the Battery
SSBTV: Hey, great vid and info, just wanted to ask what happens if you wear
glasses for reading? Does FatShark have some sort of focusing that will
allow for someone with reading glasses?
BMSWEB: The antennas that come with it won't give you great range at all, but a
decent set of SP and CL antennas will make the world of difference. With my
Mini Skywalker I've been out to 1klm and no issues. I'll do a more serious
range test with it once I get a chance.
BMSWEB: You will need to change the DipSwitch Settings on the FatShark vTX and then
Change the Channel on the Goggles too, which is done by the buttons on top
of the goggles. Have a look at the instructions because it will show you
what dip switch settings correspond with the correct channel
BMSWEB: The Video TX can run off either 2S or 3S via the balance plug.
dylan drums: Hey nice video!! Very Informative :) Question though, Does the Fat Shark
Predator version 2 FPV goggles include GPS on the screen? Does it have some
kind of navigating system and does it show elevation?
Kalaman Films: Well, I live in Belgium (EU) and apparently in our region things are a bit
strict. But from what I know now, 25mW won't give you a long range (for me
long range is about 1km)? Actually, most people don't care about a license
at all but isn't that 'dangerous'?
Christopher Balambao: Give that man a Dad of the year award!
BMSWEB: Never used the stock setup because the antennas are really limited as
specially when the aircraft banks. I use a Clover Leaf on the Aircraft and
either a Skew Planar on the Goggles or Helical
BMSWEB: Value for money the V2 is fantastic. The only thing you don't get is Head
Tracking. But the goggles, camera etc are all better. Yes they are colour :)
WhiteNite1971: Image looks better. Less milky.
BMSWEB: Thank you very much. He makes for a great flying partner :) You'll like the
Predator Goggle as they are great value for money no two ways about it. Hey
I hope the mailman knocks on your door soon :D
BMSWEB: My mistake I automatically assumed you were referring to the vTX plug . .
Sorry (that's what happens when trying to reply to every post lol). The
camera end is tricky for sure. I've only ever unplugged it once! Sorry
about that :)
slashv2: Thanks for the Unboxing / review.. I just ordered a pair from the us a few
days ago :P so i've been searching the web dry for info while i sit and
wait for the mailman to knock on the door :P Gonna check out the rest of
your videos while im here :P Btw what an adorable son you have there :)
SweepWingsRC: Is headplay goggle still the highest res for goggles? Or these V2 better? I
cant find info. Headplay is 800x600 i think.
RCllamadude: lol, no problem. just remember to be careful when unplugging it. I now made
a lead to connect my 808#16v2 to it so now I have a better camera anyways
=P love your videos, keep on making them! I'd love to see more of the mini
skywalker if that's still flying.
BMSWEB: Yes I know, but that's too pricey for me. It's been pretty costly because I
end up buying 2 of everything because of Thomas and Myself. But given them
time, they will come down in price. The new predators are really good value
BMSWEB: So cool lol Did Colin see the "Spirit of Tasmania" video we did? Thomas did
a shout to to Colin on that one :)
BMSWEB: Should be some interesting flights coming soon.
Bastian Boldt: Does the video transmitter need a battery? since the only battery i can
see, is for the goggles. Or is it just running on the battery on a plane?
SuperGoofa: Hi Paul A Question on the Fat Shark TX, how do you change the channels on
the TX, young fellow in the club has a set that clashes with me on the gear
I use Regards Goofa.
merowsProductions: what is the deference v2 and v5 ?
Rootkit: Hmm okay, but does it make the video worse if power it from the same
battery that my plane is running from?
BMSWEB: Thank YOU :) Yes it is and I'm actually thinking of trying a 808 16 on it!
I plan on doing some awesome flying with Thomas using the MiniSkywalker and
his TekSumo, since both of them are going to be very portable FPV aircraft.
What are your thoughts on the 808? I have the 808 #11 ( Old one :( )
GeorgeBonez: Very awesome review! Thanks you your help!
eaxx66: Hey guys great video I am on the verge of buying this same set up, im
completly new to FPV but ive been flying planes for a few years would you
recommend this, and how is it in flight? I live in Melbourne Victoria
thanks if you can reply
teamkoryotkd: Nice. Post a vid of the RC-XD when you finish it :)
BMSWEB: He had no idea we got them for him, he was actually thinking of buying them
with his own money from BD etc He is really over the moon because they are
"His FPV Goggles"
Kalaman Films: Thank you for the info.
BMSWEB: I'm yet to try out the attitudes but I will eventually. The feedback on
them as been really good. I know Thomas' V2 is way better than my V1, so
I'd love to see how good the newer FS are :)
Ec130Rhine: Am thinking of buying this for my first fpv gear an also frist time doing
fpv will this be good ?
BMSWEB: You will need to look at in relation to this for you specific country. One
of the reasons we fly with 5.8Ghz on our video, is because its legal here
in Australia up to 1 Watt
merowsProductions: so u need to be updated... go to hobbywireless and type fatshark
BMSWEB: You can use both the internal receiver and a plug in external one. It has a
switch so you can change between the two. If you have a look a videos of my
flying the bixler, they are plugged into the RC305 HK vRX and when I fly my
Mini Skywalker I'm using its own built in antenna. Hope that helps
RCllamadude: it comes with a good camera, but be careful when unplugging the video lead
from the camera, because the connector on the camera is poorly soldered and
will easily rip out.
BMSWEB: He actually flew with the V2 using the Full Gear and it was awesome! I'll
upload that footage as soon I edit it. This gear is now on his TekSumo
