gmurray658: I own a 1996 that has 290,000 . Honda's are the real deal.
Antoine Tinker: over 260,000 miles dog! how did you keep it runnin so good for so long?
FerrMas: Anyone do Acura Legend Type 2 1993 thermostat. Looks alot different.
NikeBlazer623: @CammedOutLS1 OK THANKS bro,but i even put a new radiator and i think ima
need a new fan to get it running good bcuz it wont spin , i even turn the
car on and the ac and still both of them dont turn on i checked the relay
already too and the seem ok i switch the other to see it works but still
have the problem
Jeremy Mumford: I don't know if you have to, but i def. would. I just just took off the
lower radiator hose clamp and drained all the coolant. Im no mechanic, i
just thought it seemed smarter to do it that way
65bug519: saw yer vid, i just changed the stat on the 99 accord last sat. the hondas
are a breeze to work on after the grand scam i got rid of in the summer!
NikeBlazer623: did your car started to over heat? cuz mine too but it only overheat when i
make a stop !an wen i go it doesnt overheat
ZXiPoZ: Are there radiator fans on whenever you turn the engine on???
Jeremy Mumford: @ZXiPoZ They only kick on when it gets hot
Jeremy Mumford: @The348864 So do you mean your temp gauge isn't functioning at all? Could
be a temp. sensor or something
BlackBill Clint: thanks man. this was really helpful
Jeremy Mumford: @65bug519 Hell yeah, i sold my accord a few months after this video. I wish
i held on to it now!
The348864: @CammedOutLS1 ITS NOT THAT BECAUSE I BERLY PUT A BRAND NEW TEMP SENSOR AND
IT STILL DOESNT MOVE. I REALLY DONT KNOW NOTHING ABOUT CARS IM JUST GOING
TO WHAT PEOPLE SAY ITS BETTER THAN NOTHING DO U THINK IT MIGHT B THE
lincoln kingston: You have an airbag warning and a check engine light yet you said you have
"absolutely no problem with it at all". I suppose the only time you have a
"problem", is when it cant take you from point A to point B.
ThePoet011: hello thanks for the video. do you have to turn the thermostat when its in
the housing ? I saw you turn it, when putting in the new one, as though you
were screwing it in. Is there threading for the thermostat ? Or did you
just do that to get it in all the way ?
Jeremy Mumford: @NikeBlazer623 Yeah, try replacing that fan. I can't think of anything else
it could be :/
Jeremy Mumford: Defective seat belt sensor caused the airbag light to come on which is
pretty common, and the engine light was on from the bad thermostat that was
being replaced.. Which obviously was reset. STILL running, and can get from
point A to point B just fine. Thank you for the enlightenment :)
The348864: HELLO I HAVE A 1 QUESTION. I HAVE A 91 HONDA ACCORD EX THAT I BERLY BOUGHT
BUT THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE DOESNT MOVE AT ALL EVEN THOO THE CAR HAS BEEN
RUNNING FOR MORE THEN AN HOUR. I PUT IN A NEW TEMP SWITCH BUT THE GAUGE
STILL WONT MOVE DO U HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT COULD IT BE I WOULD REALLY
APPRECIATE IT THNX N NICE VIDEO BY THE WAY.
supermick83: No nothing so simple I'm afraid. The heater core had a small block so had
to flush core out! Sorted now though thank god it's freezing everyday here
Jeremy Mumford: Sorry for the late reply. It's kind of a tight seal. I was just lining it
up a bit, there is no threads. I "jimmied" it out.. just work it back and
forth and it will come out just fine
supermick83: Nice video;) I have a 01 2.2typer accord and the heater is only throwing
cold or moderately mild air into interior. Now when I drive it hard the
temp inside picks up a small bit which would tell me that the stat isn't
doing its job of sending the excess heat into the heating system? The temp
gauge inside only ever gets up quarter way. Could the stat be stuck in the
open position? I know your not a mechanic but your better than me!! Thanks
Jeremy Mumford: @NikeBlazer623 Yeah, then it's probably the thermostat. Or just make sure
you have enough coolant in the radiator
regorester: If your fan isn't turning check the power coming to it. If there is no
power, likely your theromostat is stuck open, and it never gets up to temp.
Temp gauge will always read low, and your gas mileage will suffer. If so
William Forsyth: Tengo un Honda accord y este video me ayuda mucho. Gracias amigo me voy a
suscribir. Gracias de nuevo.
Jeremy Mumford: @pugs1951 No. camera was dying, so i tightened it after the video. I sold
this car to a good friend... 1 year and 40k miles later, car hasn't had any
problems. But thank you for you concern :)
Jeremy Mumford: @FerrMas Just trace the lower radiator hose to the engine
supermick83: No nothing so easy was actually the heater core was blocked so ran power
washer through it and sorted it but the hard bit was the flow and return
from the heater core are so hard to get at. Thank god I got it sorted its
in the minus figures everyday here now! Thanks man
Ed King: Thank you
Jeremy Mumford: Sorry for the late the response, i haven't been on in a while. Thank's for
the compliment. I'm sure you've got it fixed now. Was the stat stuck open?
