Domingo Rodriguez: You didn't line up the valve on the thermostat with the notch on the gasket!!!!!
sandra hicks: Hers trick I got a 99accord and to keep the cooling system in good shape I use domestic boiler adertive its OK for aluminum parts and hoses lubes the pump and prevents sludge here in the UK it costs around £6.50 and one bottle will last for 2years treatment as you only need half a bottle ,,is it OK with anti freeze yes I tested it with a hydrometer and it checked out OK , there are some companies selling a product on line for £16 plus a bottle they put a dye in it to change the colour and give a fancy name but it's the same stuff , heck it out !
Thyny San: That air intake is cute. Lol
gmurray658: I own a 1996 that has 290,000 . Honda's are the real deal.
Antoine Tinker: over 260,000 miles dog! how did you keep it runnin so good for so long?
supermick83: No nothing so easy was actually the heater core was blocked so ran power washer through it and sorted it but the hard bit was the flow and return from the heater core are so hard to get at. Thank god I got it sorted its in the minus figures everyday here now! Thanks man
supermick83: No nothing so simple I'm afraid. The heater core had a small block so had to flush core out! Sorted now though thank god it's freezing everyday here now!
Jeremy Mumford: Sorry for the late the response, i haven't been on in a while. Thank's for the compliment. I'm sure you've got it fixed now. Was the stat stuck open?
supermick83: Nice video;) I have a 01 2.2typer accord and the heater is only throwing cold or moderately mild air into interior. Now when I drive it hard the temp inside picks up a small bit which would tell me that the stat isn't doing its job of sending the excess heat into the heating system? The temp gauge inside only ever gets up quarter way. Could the stat be stuck in the open position? I know your not a mechanic but your better than me!! Thanks
Ed King: Thank you
Jeremy Mumford: I don't know if you have to, but i def. would. I just just took off the lower radiator hose clamp and drained all the coolant. Im no mechanic, i just thought it seemed smarter to do it that way
Jeremy Mumford: Defective seat belt sensor caused the airbag light to come on which is pretty common, and the engine light was on from the bad thermostat that was being replaced.. Which obviously was reset. STILL running, and can get from point A to point B just fine. Thank you for the enlightenment :)
lincoln kingston: You have an airbag warning and a check engine light yet you said you have "absolutely no problem with it at all". I suppose the only time you have a "problem", is when it cant take you from point A to point B.
regorester: If your fan isn't turning check the power coming to it. If there is no power, likely your theromostat is stuck open, and it never gets up to temp. Temp gauge will always read low, and your gas mileage will suffer. If so replace thermostat.
Jeremy Mumford: @pugs1951 No. camera was dying, so i tightened it after the video. I sold this car to a good friend... 1 year and 40k miles later, car hasn't had any problems. But thank you for you concern :)
Jeremy Mumford: @65bug519 Hell yeah, i sold my accord a few months after this video. I wish i held on to it now!
65bug519: saw yer vid, i just changed the stat on the 99 accord last sat. the hondas are a breeze to work on after the grand scam i got rid of in the summer!
Jeremy Mumford: @ZXiPoZ They only kick on when it gets hot
