MrGrillin123: It depends on how long it is opened. I have never timed it because it has never been an issue. If I had to guess I would say 5 -10 minutes.... We only open it long enough to baste the meat so it's only a few minutes until the temp comes back.
hickspanic79: Nice cooker. Looks pretty simple to build. Just wonder how long it takes to get back up to temp one the door has been opened.
TheKnifeReaper: Nice cooker only thing I would change is I would have cut the lid L shaped like 90 degrees instead of the whole thing open really lightens up opening and closing. Nice cooker though.
