maverick19691987: Very helpful although I replaced the entire component at once. Little difference in price and much less work.
Nicole Mason: HOW ABOUT AN A1-810 I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO REPLACE IT ASAP
Octavio Calderon: reassembling must be a mofo
niceysexygirl: Hi my tablet has a scrambled screen and I was wondering if its the screen or something else but I don't wanna buy the part until I know for sure. are you able to help?? ps great video
J Chapman: Hi cityside75. I got your comment by email but it wouldn't appear on the comments below to reply to. So I'll reply here in CAPITAL.
Hi, it looks like your outer screen (digitizer?) wasn't broken, just the lcd? CORRECT That's the situation with my tablet. If so, can you tell me, did you order just the lcd and not the digitizer? YES, JUST THE LCD Did your screen come with the tools shown in the video? NO TOOLS. JUST THE LCD It's not clear from laptopscreen. com if those tools are included with the lcd only, or are only included when the digitizer is purchased too. If you can let me know, I'd appreciate it!
leedenuk: Is the b1 the same to replace?
bernie gasper: my tablet screen cracked...but im scred to do this...so complicated...must study this carefully..
Justin Martin: Great how-to!
J Chapman: I don't know if its works for a A501 model. I've only done it on the A500
J Chapman: Hi Theryougo1. No no extra parts
Theryougo1: Did u have extra parts when u put it back together?
A: Does this also work for the A501 MODEL?
TheReynoldsJay: Just replaced my a500's digitizer and LCD using this video. Took me about an hour. Thanks for sharing!
Barry The Chopper: It's interesting to watch you do the screen replacement on this tablet. I work the same way with the tweezers, very organized, very precise. I'm gonna be replacing the screen on a Iconia A100 tablet here in a few weeks. Maybe I'll make a video as well.
humblekiller420: nice job on the fix..but a different view with out the hands blocking the tab would be nice, but still good job im dissembling mine now tx for the help
J Chapman: I only replaced the LCD. The LCD & the front glass are separate. Although they are stuck together with double sided tape.
Pacfanweb: So the screen you used, was it the glass and LCD all together as an assembly?
My daughter's A500 is cracked, but the outer glass (the part you touch) is fine...but the picture is bad beneath it. Looks like it'd be better to replace the whole assembly, as you did here, if that was indeed the case as it looked.
