Bernard S: A second hand PC laptop even a very recently made one cost less than Chromebook

Van Solo: Chromebook 3 uses the Intel Celeron dual core processor @ 2.4 Ghz and Intel onboard graphics with 4 Gb RAM. Runs Linux Mint 18 like a champ with Intel driver package installed. Ran fine without it but a little slower with some 1080p HD video streams lagging here and there. 720p is flawless. Same setup as my Dell desktop and been using Mint since Olivia and takes every update perfectly. It's a monster for $199.

Noah Bachman: I'm Full time linux user just watch this to get info on the best chromebook for running linux

Tresten Pool: Would a pixelbook be overpowered for running Linux?

Rajath D: the main question is it worth it ,will it run flawlessly like any other laptop running on linux

Callen: So much of what you said doesn't make sense, stream for linux? "Really small for the space"

Jason Pepas: Great video! Have you thought about investing in a lapel mic?

BrazBlue: isn;t netflix now html5, so would it not work in linux now?

Commander Janus: What is web-browsesing?

1v1013: Kali linux on arm?

Paul Lombard: "... you could might" < what is a could-might?

Crux161: There are several things about this video I really didn't care for. For one -- It sounds like he said "stream" not steam hahaha

Star Seed: just learning now. i will get back to you on that. just got it yesterday. i wanted one that only used google and chrome. so far so good...i dont really like the fact that the sd card is so far out. but at least i dont have to press the power keys when i open it. it turns on by itself. lmao.

NX: idiot..you forgot to mention important details like backing up chrome os, reseting chromebook back to default incase installation fails or you want to remove linux

Esteban Rincon: New Yorkers talk funny.

Windoge 8: cload source?

matt matthew: some of the applications listed on that website will not be a great idea to get for a chromebook/Linux project/ a project were your trying to turn a chromebook into a Linux machine/box. like gimp is not a program you would want on an underpowered machine. Java is though. So just use common sense on what all you decide to get application/programs wise. check into getting pepper flash as well. you can get it with the command line just Google what is the command to install paper flash in Ubuntu 14.04. Anyway good luck. also there's a Netflix desktop app for Linux in the software center.

matt matthew: Netflix works on Linux. honestly everything that you would need works on Linux. Also out of the box/ right after you download Linux/ Ubuntu 14.04 is not perfect. I like PPA and add ons and indicators. Heres a link that will atleast get the ball rolling after you install Ubuntu 14.04 also Linuxs fire wall is not enabled by default. control T will open up a terminal run all of thease commands before doing anything (sudo apt-get update) (sudo apt-get upgrade) (sudo apt-get distupgrade) after that than check out this link. This is a good start anyway.
