6043ron: I'm thinking now that the fan is RIGHT handed threads but it's on there so tight you'd think it was left handed. I just changed mine a month ago and I think I spun it back on to the right.

6043ron: The large nut it threaded on left handed. So righty tighty doesn't apply here only the reverse. Put a strap wrench around the part that the belt rides on (flange?) then get a good grip on it while you smack your wrench with a hammer to break it loose. Watch those plastic fan blades. Don't take nothing else apart until you get this nut broke loose or you might as well make a day of this project.
