mother-in-law lots of money - that should score me a few points!

a replacement from eBay with no major incident (those bolts are fricking
tight though!). I shudder to think what this would have cost
professionally, you guys are legends :)
Steven Sil: This video is a perfect aid. Mission accomplished.
Alberto Betancourt: Thanks a lot, it was very hepfull to me
Ray Sanders: I'll be doing this in the very near future.. :)
ego818: nevermind, I fixed it.
ego818: Excellent video!!! Thank you so much, I'm proud to say I didn't need a
mechanic thanks to you. Replaced my broken mirror by myself. I'm feeling
pretty proud lol, now I just have to replace my bumper.
1A Auto Parts: @headendk You're welcome. Have a great day!
bprizze: Hi there, do I need to take off the negative from my battery?
Michael Holmes: Really appreciate this video. You just made this look way easier than I was
expecting. Now I'm not dreading fixing it myself.
1A Auto Parts: @blackghost7 The mirror piece may be slightly different inside of the than
the OE one on the truck. This mirror assembly should look just like the
original piece. There may be a difference it the way the actual mirror
piece mounts to the housing though.
jerolando: Thank You!!
Kevin Organ: WOW Amazing, it was perfect both the video and part, done in 25 minutes!

HighRum13: I just saved 500 bucks not taking it to the dealership! I was able to
install it in less than half an hour. Thank you so much!!
matsully: Thanks for this. This video saved me a ton of time and money. I got the
part from you guys (1AAuto.com) on the cheap and did the install in about
15-20 minutes. Local parts store wanted $150+ for the mirror. There's no
telling what a dealer would have charged, nevermind the labor. Thanks again!
spliffyfreeze: Thanks very much. Your video saved me a lot of time (and potential damage)
from experimenting my way through the job. Toyota wanted $250 (in Canada)
for this mirror for parts only! I was able to buy a mirror for $60 shipped
to my door, used this video to install, and it's a job well done! Thanks a

match and works smoother than the original. THANK YOU GUYS!!!!
Jon Jacobs: Thanks for the instructional video. I'm not much mechanically inclined and
I just replaced my mirror quickly and with no parts left-over. The video
helped a lot. I'm sure I'd still be working on the mirror replacement if
not for the video.....As it is I'm drinking a celebratory beer!!
1A Auto Parts: @santpolenc Glad to Help!!

Fernando Yanez: A putty knife is good to begin opening the panel, but I eventually had to
use a flat head screw driver to dis-engage the plastic clasps that keep the
panel attached to the frame of the door.

skatendrum: I was wondering if it is possible to replace just the mounting part of the
mirror (so that it doesn't have to be repainted). Someone snapped off my
mirror downwards – it looks like they sat on it or something – so that the
mirror is fine, but the mount is broken. The mount has the wire running
through it and attaches to the mirror by way of a bolt, but I wasn't sure
if the wire can be run through the mount... Also, this may be wishful
thinking, but do you sell just the mounting part?
inkstaincomix: Thank you so much for posting this video! Just saved me a trip to the
mechanic and tons of money.
1A Auto Parts: @srikrishnagamini this procedure is correct for the 03-08. Your model year

Christopher Lapinski: Thanks so much for posting! Just replaced my side mirror like a pro.

difference between these models and a 2012 model?
finaleditor: Thank you very much, it was very helpful for me. I liked quality of the
1A Auto Parts: @magatron008 Just so you know you are asking a person who sells parts if
you need to replace the mirror so of course I will say YES! :) Buy a pair
while you are at it ! :) In all seriousness I can't really tell from your
description whether or not you need to replace the entire assembly. If you
decide you do need to replace it visit 1A Auto dot com...Thanks!!
slimdude87: excellent! thanks, guys
latinhero1818: also, what if it was just the side view mirror cover that i needed and not
the whole mirror, would I still need to take apart the car door?
MrFragalax: This video probably saved me $100, thanks a bunch.
1A Auto Parts: @TheGrollu We only sell the entire assembly not just the glass piece.
1A Auto Parts: You should be able to press the new glass onto the backing plate in the
housing. We carry just the glass with free shipping on our website

just take it off without removing the mirror.
Nakul Malhotra: I just saved 77 bucks and a visit to mechanic on labor and ended up paying
merely 32 bucks for the mirror purchased from ebay online. In nutshell i
spent 32 bucks and 30 minutes against 200 bucks being estimated by the
mechanic and a visit to workshop... A load of thanks for this wonderful
TheGrollu: Is there a way to use the original housing for the broken mirror (to avoid
nurselaney: I replaced both side mirrors. Lots of satisfaction doing this myself. Took
me a bit longer than the average person-- it's difficult to know just how
much strength to use. These instructions with video are great. Thanks for
posting the video!
1A Auto Parts: There may be some changes to the design of the mirror, you should be able
to remove it using some of the techniques that we show in this earlier
