Craig Chambers: I have the regular Dual Clutch automatic in a 2016 Ford Focus 2.0 and my question is: Can I engage the "downhill" button while accelerating? I have discovered that when I do this, the transmission holds each gear a bit longer, resulting is a later, and therefore smoother, shift point. I have only experimented, and it seems to perform well without objection, but am I risking damage to the transmission?
Kenneth O'Malley: This is a good design on paper, but it's not holding up in real world use. Just search for 2011-2015 Fiesta and Focus transmission issues and you'll see why. I don't care about the noise, but having to repair both clutches and throw-out bearings with less than 50k on it? That's BS. Why hasn't there been an investigation into Ford on this? Ford has pretty much said they're not gonna permantily fix the problem, just Band-Aid it with extended warranties. BTY; the main seal coverages is ONLY for the seal. Not the damage the leaking fluid causes. Have Government, you've gone after GM, and now Toyota, why haven't you made Ford do something about this?
MARKSMAN108: i am looking for a new car with a price range of 30-35k. I want a dual clutch and was wondering what the best car with a dual clutch is? Is the fords good or should I look at foreign cars? I am also not opposed to used cars.
JayDee: Learn to drive a stick you kitty. LOL
ShopforCFcom: You do know Ferrari, Audi, Porsche use transmissions like this, right?
Alijan Ismayilov: sorry for the late reply....... but it is a fact that modern automatic gear-boxes are much better driving experience and much faster acceleration than manual ones, unless you using your car for power-slide or similar things....... who is retard now?
Alijan Ismayilov: How is it possible to compare dual-clutch gearbox to freaking manual. Manual gearbox is not efficiant at all.....
JayDee: @Dimitri0908 PWND!
JayDee: @Dimitri0908 nah it doesn't bother me, its actually good because it shows just how much better Chevrolet is and will always be
JayDee: @Dimitri0809 ... classy argument, have fun not thinking. If thats what you are good at, not thinking that is, go join the occupy wall street movement, noone there likes to think or work or really do anything for that matter. and as for killing me, you'd be surprised just how hard that would be. But I invite you to give it a shot you freaking moulinyan
JayDee: @Dimitri0809 no your just a kitty trying to act like a saint on youtube. Why don't you go out and find something better to do with your time than reply to comments on youtube. AND THIS TRANSMISSION HAS HAD NOTHING BUT BAD REVIEWS. and you spelled incompetence wrong douchebag
JayDee: @Dimitri0809 classy, but its the most I would expect coming from someone named Dimitri... are you 100% black? or does your mom just really like black dudes and black names?
adcabreras: These transmissions are faster than what you can do manually. That's why you don't see any in F1 any more.
JayDee: Its like ford made a transmission version of the snuggie. "Is shifting hard? is it to difficult to let the clutch out without stalling?? WELL YOU ARE IN LUCK!! WE HAVE THE FAG TRANSMISSION FOR PEOPLE WHO CANT DRIVE A CLUTCH!"
