BrothrhoodProduction: Thats weird my 72 GMC made the same noise when I tried starting it the first time, turns out the starter was just junk and didnt turn the motor over lol
matthew20061: @hjewell2 Your right! I rebuilt that carb later when I replaced the engine ran the numbers on it and it was from a 80's truck.
hjewell2: In 1970 a 307 did not come with a 4-barrel rochester only 350 cid did
matthew20061: I think the engines toast although I wish it wasn't, from what I can tell it was probably going bad (rod knock) and they kept driving it hard until it finally blew the rod out the side of the oil pan. Theres a hole in it right next to the starter.
matthew20061: Just going to use it as a parts truck. It does have a rust free bed except the damaged side. The rest is mostly trashed lol.
1970chevyc10502: What are you going to do with it
themaritimeman: Wow, that's quite a POS right there! Are you going to do any more work to try to get the engine running?
themaritimeman: @lawnboy7260G I believe he said Alaska!
lawnboy7260G: dude where are you from? you still got snow!?
Ghetto Wagon: If times get bad you can always live in it.. LMAO
