JNation: How much do screens cost for the nokia lumia 900
Bilal Mansoor: Mate, thanks for posting this; really useful and very clear. Fixed the missus' screen in 20 mins. All new, until the next time she drops it :)
LE55ONS: keep trying and turning the pin around as you push it down, it will go in eventually
ndewitt: I can't get the pin to go back in. Pressing the screen in makes the pin harder to move. Any thoughts?
LE55ONS: did the pin pull out ok?
Matt Ahern: I found it impossible to lift the screen up, tried al methods
Manjunath Khatawkar: hook from a safety pin did the trick for me
Manjunath Khatawkar: Same here... tried with a small screw driver. Still no luck :(
Dome Fe: thank you bro !
Ravi Tandon: True, I got a new one on ebay for $80 but the torx driver sent with it was bad, did not work. So bought a full set from t4 to t8 at home depot for $6. Very good instructions and I was able to do it with a breeze.
Eric Herrera: Hi, thanks for this! I was able to replace my screen. However, it seems the left bottom navigation arrow on the digitizer doesn't work... I'm thinking it was a defective one I ordered off Ebay. Any ideas why this may be? All other functions work perfectly. I've contacted the seller and am still awaiting a response. I would like to not have to do an exchange and wait. Also, do you know what the part number is for the touch key ribbon is? Thanks you very much!
mryodadna: Thanks, followed your tutorial and worked a charm. I now have a crack-free screen, again many thanks.
greenmonster996: Great tut. Just needed it so I could fix the capacitive (spelt wrong) buttons at the bottom of my lumia 900. Placed aluminum foil where the buttons go under the screen. Others should try if you have that issue.
LE55ONS: I would rate this as 6 as the double sided tape on the battery is the hardest part. Make sure you buy a new screen with the metal frame or you'll have lots of work to do..
ryan moreno: on a scale of 1-10 difficulty what would you rate this screen. I've never done one but it doesn't look that difficult. I have all the tools I've changed screen in portable gaming devices. I have a friend that need a new screen, and I've been wanting to change a screen on a smartphone
LE55ONS: use a paper clip with the tip bent round like a hook, the smaller the better. Or a very small screwdriver can be used
theo servini: i cant take out the pin that holds the screen in place! i have one of the nokia removal tools, but the pin is stiff and my removal tool just bends out of shape instead of the pin coming out of the phone ;/ any suggestions?
LE55ONS: I hope to get one soon..
joao caetano: and now a nokia lumia 925 disassembly pls it wound be very helpfull
Kağan Altıntaş: İyi
Matias Gomez: Please answer me if you can get the front glass is urgent
Matias Gomez: Might make a video explaining how to take out the glass to lumia 900 ami I broke the glass only
LE55ONS: you can try eBay and closely look at the sellers feedback
LE55ONS: yes they sell to individuals
heneeeetheMan: Etradesupply has pretty high shipping costs (25$) so can you mention a better choice to order some phone diy parts?
heneeeetheMan: How about ordering from etradesupply. Is it possible to buy items as an invidual person? I mean without owning any company.
LE55ONS: its not easy to tell which is the problem, a new battery might be the first step..
Jorgerenato Marques: EU DOU NOTA 10 PRA ESSA AULA,MUITO OBRIGADO
Sayed Mahmood Fazli: I have got hard time with my Nokia Lumia 900, when I switched it on Nokia comes then the slow-gun ( Re-thinking possible , then it stopped there and then it turned off , is it the battery problem or software.
johnnypocketrocket: My goodness me what are Nokia up to. All that trouble just to replace the battery, looks like technology going backwards.
LE55ONS: sounds like a faulty new screen, I would try another..
Paramountedits: can i have some help please, i dropped my phone screen a few weeks ago and i bought a replacement screen, but when i changed the screen had some colour but after a few hours it went totally black again, do you know what my of caused this or can you give any advice
LE55ONS: yes, you'll need to replace the complete screen assembly, Google for this part number ESNOK10219365-253 and use coupon code ETS2 for a little discount
leila culley: the touchin part of the screen isnt working on my nokia 900, is there any way I can fix that myself?
Matt Catchpole: Another excellent video, repaired an iPhone 5 screen using your video, now someone else wants me to do a lumia, this looks a lot easier! Cheers!
mickisis1: This worked great, just like you showed. Took about 45 minutes to do.
LE55ONS: try using a high quality screwdriver and push down hard to unscrew. If that doesn't work you'll need to use a small drill to take the heads off. Keep a magnet nearby to collect all the metal filings as you drill
davidovolga1: I have hard time with unscrewing part. 3 bolts got off, others are stuck. Not sure what to do...
hotdogman67: Very nice, clear video. You've helped a ton, good sir.
LE55ONS: Sounds like the firmware has hung, try holding the power button down until it shuts down, if that doesn't work Google 'nokia 900 hard reset'
tier88: Question well the Question is not abut this kinda thing. i hev done an system recovery on my lumia 920 its has ben this 2 gears " working in progres " typ off thing and is has ben this sens last Nhigt and that is over 9 - 12 H ago shud that relly be lika that . do u hev any clue wats wrong wit it ?
SRRY for miss speling
LE55ONS: yes it should be possible, the battery is held in with a small amount of double sided tape so take it slow and disconnect the battery first
Leonardo Silva da Rosa: Hi,
Is it possible to lift the baterry plate w/ the batery on it?
LE55ONS: nice one, thanks for the feedback :-)
LE55ONS: I've heard of this working for others but I don't have the issues or phone so I can't testify if it works or not
treadinwell: Thanks for the video. It took me about an hour to repair the screen. I wasn't patient enough using the hair dryer to loosen the adhesive, so with some force lifted up the metal place, AND the battery. Luckily, it disconnected itself from the mother board with no damage. $90 w/shipping for the part, from Etradesupply vs. $160 install from a few places in town. Thanks again.
LE55ONS: a new screen will cure your problem, Google ESNOK10219365 and use coupon code ETS2 for a little discount
