Kevin Ayres: Iv a alfa romeo 147 2003 with the same issue would the same method work?
Mitch Warburton: Thank you so much! This worked!!
henriettagib: Nwould this work on the grande punto
Chris D: Can u do vedios on how to change shocks both rear and front please.

doblo 2006 but I can not connect to fiatecuscan program.

PercyLongProng1: Hi, I have the same airbag intermittent fault on my 04 punto sporting (1.4
I have the software, just waiting for delivery of the vagcom cable and the
red adaptor. Do you know if I can connect by choosing the Punto 03 1.4 16v
option on the software, as there isn't an 04 choice.
Heshan Ekanayake: How can I find this software? I have the same punto you have and same
Simon Loveridge: How do I find out what airbag is in my 2000 punto thank u
jasbir grewal: i have bought kkl vag leads and connected everthing up but in the bottom
left hand side it is saying that it is not connected
Neil Skelding: Hi mate my air bag light is on it a fiat punto 1.2 03 plate. What leads are
best to get for ecu? Thanks
Keld Hansen: I have experienced problems with connecting an ELM327 OBDII to USB
interface, to my 1999 FIAT Punto 1,2 8V, even if the computer COM port is
configured correctly and this is verified by the interface test in the
Multiecuscan software. It appears that the ELM 327 interface simply doesn´t
connect to the cars interface.
Can anyone help me ? Is my car not compatible with OBDII or does the cars
interface only run 9600 bps ?
Any other idea ?
Thanks in advance
Voughne2: I bought cable from ebay, with a switch on it so you dont need adaptor but
it is not working. I am stuck on connecting to ECU (in video 2:00) . MES is
detecting KKL VAG cable, when i click on test in settings it works without
errors, it just cant connect to ECU, airbaig, to nothing ... I have latest
CDM driver for cable, settings of COM port is the same as in "How to use"
... any idea what is wrong? (I guess the cable is wrong, maybe 64bit
Windows 8 is a problem ?)
Liam McDermott: will this work on the mk1 year 1998?
mmattster: OK, i fixed the problem, i fitted a second hand module with the same part
number which put the amber light on when the ignition was switched on, it
then flashed and stayed on, so i re connected my laptop which now
recognizes the module so i could put the light out JOB DONE total cost for
leads and module was £48. I have since taken the old module apart and found
a burnt out component on the pcb under the inertia sensor but without a
schematic i don't know what the component is.................
mmattster: i forgot to mention that the yellow airbag isolator light on the dash never
comes on ever even when i first switch the ignition on.......
ashbeck888: Note: The software does not reset the "01-Control Unit Fault" light for a
Punto mk2. Any ideas on how this can be reset ? Thanks in advance.
PuntoHowto: No sorry ELM327 won't connect with the airbag ECU you need the VAG-Com lead
either modified or with the red adaptor
PuntoHowto: Hi Donna, the software and cable should work with your model of car but to
be sure its best to check the website as there is a comprehensive list of
what cars are covered
Voughne2: Well china guy is going to refund me, so I will buy a new cable from link
under the video, maybe first I will try to take a look at that china cable
what is wrong with it ... I could remove switch and connect it directly to
airbag ECU use only according to the scheme on MSU website
PuntoHowto: if the control unit is faulty it will need to be replaced unfortunately,
look for an identical unit in scrap yards rather than paying the silly
prices that fiat will charge
PuntoHowto: you can try just be aware you can cause damage easily if you get the
connections wrong, hope you get it all sorted out
9m2sh: Can this gadget work on the Alfa Romeo 156 2.5 Auto, please?
PuntoHowto: if you can't find the airbag module then you may have a more serious
problem that needs professional attention. if you don't have the amber
passenger side airbag light, then you don't have a passenger airbag.
PuntoHowto: If its a switched cable then the obvious answer if connecting to the airbag
ecu is if the cable is switched correctly? Many of these cables are very
cheaply made Ian's quality is poor, you really need to some how confirm
that the cable actually works, that's why we suggest a normal cable with
mmattster: Hi i can scan find and connect to the engine with the green pin-out lead
But when i connect the red lead and scan it doesnt find any airbag module.
So is this the red pin-out lead, the module or somthing else HELP......
PuntoHowto: you can try them all, if you get the wrong one you're likely to see "ISO
ERROR' however if its a 1.2 8v its probably the same as the one in the
video as its the more basic option. our HGT uses a different module to deal
with the curtain and side impact airbags built into the roof and the front
GaffyTube: hi, will this tool allow me to reset the engine management light and the
abs light? if so could you let me know by message how to do this process
and what cables will i require thanks
THEIRONMAN9: hi, ive got a punto 2004 reg, the airbag light has been extinguished many
times but keeps coming back, ive been told its a problem with an isolator
switch that needs replacing near the passenger door, does this sound right
and if so roughly how much do you think it would cost at a garage to have
Donna Bergin: hi,will this cable work on a fiat multipla 05 model? Airbag light came on
and has not gone off. Unsure what cable to order. Just want to turn off
lennonpolo: what's that light flashing @ 2:38? Thanks.
byson88: Hi there, how do i find out what airbag control module is on my car? or can
i try each one? its a 2004(54) fiat punto 1.2 8v active, 2 door (if that
PuntoHowto: have you connected up ECU scan and checked to see what faults are being
recorded by the ECU
Andy Southard: Worked a treat, thanks for the video, saved me taking it to the main dealer
plainlazy90: Hi, I own a 2003 MK2 Punto 1.2 Active (5million edition) and the airbag
light is always on. I have tried the fix you have in this video (I've got
the leads and software etc) but the light still stays on. The error I have
comes up as: '09 - Passenger squib circuit | Open circuit |
Intermittent/Present | 40' Do you have any ideas on a fix for this error?
PuntoHowto: If you buy the cabled linked in the video description and download
MultiECUScan then you can do most things including accessing the engine ECU
to find out why your EML is on for ABS you may need a fully paid up and
licensed version of the software
PuntoHowto: Hi James, wI use Windows 7 also, can you explain more about the problem you
are having? have you tried installing it on a different machine to ensure
its not the PC, i seem to think way back when I first installed the lead on
my laptop it was essentially plug and play
PuntoHowto: this suggests an actual fault with the airbag or wiring to that airbag on
the passenger side, in all seriousness its probably best to let a garage
deal with a potentially faulty airbag otherwise it can result in accidental
deployment and likely injury
MikeRelvasR8: Does it work on the 188 version?
PuntoHowto: that's the passenger airbag warning light the flashing suggests all is
working and the airbag is active.
PuntoHowto: hi thanks for the comment, this was the exact problem I had with my 2004
punto, you need to see our other video which covers how we fixed the fault
and what was needed, go to our channel page and look for the video titled
"Fiat Punto II Airbag isolation switch fault and its fix"
Adnan Fiaz: Hi I got prob in mine fiat punto 1.2 8v 2001 basically my car is running on
two cylinders 2&3. I have changed ciols and ht lead still same prob I been
told there is prob in ecu It will cost me fortune, is it anything u can
help me to solve this prob via ecuscan as I already got leads thnx
MikeRelvasR8: I asked because this one is different than mine, I thought it was another
version but it's just a facelift. Mine has the same problem, the Air-Bag
light is on and the mechanic said that the steering wheel with that problem
on my car is a time bomb :-S He said the Air-Bag could pop out anytime now.
And I have another problem but I think that one cannot be fixed with
software: it's the typical Punto power steering problem. I think I have to
buy a new power steering motor...
PuntoHowto: the '188' version is the versions featured in the video 1999-2006 (up to
2012 for classic versions)
PuntoHowto: older puntos have a different diagnostic port which is three pin it can be
done using similar equipment but I don't have knowledge to tell you what
you need or how to go about it
byson88: Also i noticed that when testing the interface that the latency timing was
no where near the times it should have been. it says it allows for ~5ms but
some of them were out by around 100ms or just timed out completely
Michael Mac: Hi there, can this be used with the ELM327 Bluetooth interface instead of a
James Rout: it says that its installed and then i go onto the ecu scan and go to
settings scan for interfaces but none come up?
James Rout: Hello i need some help, i bought the exact VAG-Com lead you linked and i
can't install it? I'm running windows 7?
byson88: Thanks, i have tried them all but it just tells me "no reponse from ecu,
check cable and adapters" i checked them all and they were all connected
