veggiepowered: the video made me dizzy you move the camera around too much
Sharad Shrestha: should i change the acid as well?
Mike O: Don't get any contamination but your battery top it's so disgusting dirty
nevermind: Thats right. Never start/wal mart. Sears is crap also. Interstate is good.
To the poster. You just did a totally eroneous video. Complete with crap
that will kill batteries forever. They should be thouroghly cleaned befor
you charge using baking soda and distilled water(twice) befor you install
your salt or alum mixture.. Also if you werent such a slackard you could
attempt to clean your terminals befor connecting your daddys charger.Give
me a break.
emc4u2: You pronounce it like "shower" its german
Susan Duenas: we have a simpler problem, the batteries were new and got turned over
inside a travel trailer, lost all of the liquid. So if we add some new acid
will l it work and add epson salt?
chipmunk3k: 1:50 I would just like to suggest maybe using warm to hot water, this can
increase the amount of epson salt that can be dissolved into solution
(instead of a saturated solution like you had, it will be super saturated
solution) it will help increase the amount of MgS04 (converts to H2S04 I
guess? ).. when you add the electronic charge you are effectively doing a
process called electrolysis, when you do this to MgS04, you are breaking
the water molecules apart and same with the MgS04 to make H2S04 and O2
oxygen bubbles and elemental Mg (that precipitates out of solution). cool
video thanks !
Muslim Abdulhussein: hi...
i have large battery and end it live ....
how can i do to repair please explain what i do such as the materials
Dave C: You need to clean your car and the battery in that too!
Paul Gori Christiansen: VORKEV1 really needs education
MrBlueCollar: This doesn't work for all batteries. Some I've had success some not.
Nedu Nonny P: I did this, it didnt work for My Battery..
nodws: needs more wristbands
Jay Guy: the acid becomes part of the plates during charging
kirkish44: "Not to be a smart ass but if you checked your battery level before it
failed and topped it off with water???" What if you happen to leave your
lights on? Checking your battery level before it failed doesnt apply. Nor
are you taking into account that even when your levels are good, batteries
still go bad! Otherwise, we would have to buy them!
EndofUSA: oh! great! Thanks. I am about to do that to my battery too.
Iyswift: awesome video
hanzie6: Should I use about the same amount of salt?
Darron C: The next Timothy Mc Vay!
Tito Tanvir: I have two lead Sealed lead batteries one from the flash light and the
another from the car JumpStarter. My question is if I take the acid out
from my car battery and filled it up in the other two will it work?
vorkev1: education is the think that you do not get in the us inless you can pay
$10000s for privit school and even then you are lucky if you get one. that
and sometimes you get stupid people that do not understand things bfore
thay speek that some people are educated and just have disabilities that
prevent them from spelling correcrly or doing other things look at steven
djordje coric: anyone tried this??? is it work???
Tito Tanvir: I have got sulfuric acid for the battery form a store. Can fill up on my
two lead acid battery? One is 6volt 4.25 Ah another one is 12volt 17Ah.
meTimetraveler: a syringe would be better than spoon.
shando6666: Just to point a few things out - What do you think he made when he added
the Magnesium Sulphate to water? Yep, Sulphuric acid with a hint of
Magnesium Oxide (which won't have any real impact). Also touching lead
isn't a death sentence, don't get it in an open wound or ingest / inhale it
and you'll be fine. You'd need to stick you fingers directly into the
battery segments to even come close to them. -_-
myelectricfly1: Interesting message, @ 9:36 - 9:45 "Holding that Charge Really Well Now" -
Then followed by a slightly different Message @ 9:52 - 9:56 "I Know for a
fact now that that treatment doesn't work on this battery". ils360 - maybe
you could reply and let us know what was the correct information - based on
your experience: Did it work - or not? And - how is this video better than
- "Battery Reconditioning -- All Steps in 1 by Walt Barrett?" I don't see
any testing of this battery Volts, Load, etc.
sekstrand87: Stop moving the camera...I'm getting dizzy.
RicoChovski7593: This guy is one of the WORST presenters I've ever seen; and after watching
a 10 minute video, we learn that, Doh !! it didn't work !!
hanzie6: Allright, thanks! I'll see what I can do.
Chris Goble: If you do this procedure correctly it does work in most cases. I have saved
many many batteries doing this, all it takes is doing it right. The people
that make comments about this not working either did it wrong or had a
battery that could not be fixed. It does not work 100% of the time, but for
those that wish to save a buck its worth a try....
JOE Z: I have the same charger for at least 40 years. Rusted but still works.I use
it still to help start old tractors. Plus new charger will not charge until
I give it a shot with old reliable. Thanks for the tip I have to give it a
vorkev1: never buy wallmarts ever start batterys thay die within a year and walmart
dus not oner thare warrinty
TasteHasSwag: Can You Do This To A Phone Battery ?
Spicky: THANKS FOR THE CLARIFICATION WILL TRY
Dani Alfiani: the important think is the safety first
ICUC007: Lately I topped off my battery, so it is at the proper level. I guess that
'water' I added is now considered 'acid' ?
surfsweb: Hi, great video tutorial. I tried this and it worked great! Thanks for the
vorkev1: first off you never mix acid with water or it will explode you can mix
water and after acid is added but not watter then acid. and if the battery
is low on fluids it dus not mnatter if you use old used acid you can even
use just water however sometimes you have to clean the plates and do a
trickle charge after refilling the battery and thbis can restore a battery
M Arif Budiyantho: how if distilled water + sulfuric acid ?
Dan Dunford: Here are the lead plates, what ever they're made off. Really? I thought
they were made of lead....
JuniperSprouts: The money you save on recycling batteries...please use it to hire a maid to
clean your house & car.
vqlive: Buy a load tester you can tell anythingwith out a load tester with a gauge
jayc2469: He meant Sulphuric Acid
laurentprodz: you pronounce it like shower
trimbot6: The battery chargers brand name is german and is pronounced "shower".
Thanks for the battery desulfite tip.
Mahendrakumar Sundaram: u mean sulphuric acid
Mr Sardonicus: Your actual time to do this must not be worth much. It's cheaper to just
get a New Battery rather than make a special trip to buy Epsom Salt and or
Distilled Water then Electricity to heat up the water then cool it down
again then more time to fill and check the cells then buy a Lead Acid
battery charger then charging the battery again and all for something
that'`s not 100% guaranteed to work. Buy a new one with a warranty and you
are good to go for however many years. My 2 cents worth.
RyuDarragh: Depends. The plates of a "starter" battery are fairly thin and large in
area so they can provide a kick ass amount of current (upwards of 300 - 400
amps) and they do wear out. This "hack" is desulfating the plates, nothing
more. You basically need to remove the coating of sulfates to get at the
lead of the plates. The calcium or antimony that the plates are alloyed
with are removed It would perform better with fresh sulfuric acid of the
