Jobe Jahova: Very great and informative video man. Nice work and props.
asustech007: No, your problem is that giant mosquito inside the TV playing that
trumpet... you need to get him out of there, he'll eat your ribbon cables
turbotrana: samsung suck, I danced for that whole video
Hibo Ali: its sad I have 50' tv its have black horizontal line all over on top I need
help. Samsung they avoid me for help.
timcat100: Welcome to smagsome TV repair
Jai Etwaroo: another freaking dummy video
Brian Kelly: I had the same prob on my Samsung ln52a550p3fxza. Reseating the ribbon
cable seems to have fixed the problem. The cables are hidden behind the
metallic shielding tape at the top of the set.. Flip the dark plastic bail
on both ends of each cable (all 4 ends) and re seat them all. I used a tiny
flat blade screw driver to release the two ends that were hard to get at.
Also, I cut 2 pcs of vinyl tubing about 3/4" long and forced them down btwn
the ribon connector an the chassis to keep pressure on the connector. Use
smaller dia tubing so it has to be compressed just slightly to fit into the
gap. You dont want too much pressure... Good Luck!
Cor Blaak: Great job tnx for the tips Chipo
Cor Blaak: I like it, its about repairing your tv, be glad the guy makes the afford to

ramesh dalal: Hi I have a Samsung 29" DNIejr Television some white and colour horizontal
line on the top of screen they reduce little bit after sometime, pl adivce
2632jibaro: Buy a Sony tv built tuff and don't forget Panasonic too
Kevin Bennett: Did you fix the laptop screen yet?
Noel Nehrig: HELP!!! I had the exact problem and followed these exact steps. It fixed
the vertical lines on the right side and then immediately, the screen went
black. Haven't been able to get a picture since. Were the vertical lines a
symptom of something more severe that I caused to happen prematurely?
chipotletv: @Sarkosity secure them with something not conductive and heat resistant,
like I did on this video. You have the same problem, just that the false
contact is on the union with the bond tabs. It's not always fixable, Its
not always fixable, but Its worth the try. Be very careful, the screen is
very delicate and expensive. also you'll be working while the tv is on, So
again, be very very careful, you could get an electric shock. Good luck!
Darren Johnson: To the comment below the video of the problem I have is on my channel. The
tv has vertical lines
MegaPurpleHelloKitty: @mrbigmacmuncher me too! ;(
Skene Pierre: I have exactly the same green line on my samsung tv (2 min 38 sec) . Repair
guy came and said it's my panel and i had to change it. Be sure i'll try
your trick before buying a new one. Thx
mal bisset: nice video it worked for me,whats more of a pain is why youtubers play back
cooldog60: Thanks, another great video!
lelobananaaaw: Thank you Chipotletv, I followed your advice with my out of warranty 4 yr
old Samsung LEsomething which was giving me vertical and horizontal lines
and split screen.I found out that the exact problem on my tv was that those
bitches had attached with tape those flexy cables on the metal frame, once
I let them loose the screen went completely crystal clear. Maybe others
should try that too. You saved an old tv from becoming recycled material
dude, thanks again, greetings from Greece!
greend614: I just started getting a very thin red line on the bottom left side of my
Samsung 40inch. It only shows when I'm getting an HD signal. I have basic
cable and it doesn't show at all when I have analog channels. But when I
watch local digital channels or hdmi input, it shows. I know its only going
to get worse. Does anyone know about this and what's wrong? Thanks ahead
wescoolya: haha lol it sounds like one of those toys you blow in and spit comes out of
Jesse Coleman: where are you putting rubber, this video is very unclear on what you are
boempa: Interesting video, very educative. While I have a line problem with my Dell
2709w monitor, I'm not sure if it's the flex cable. The problem is, when
powering up, there are about 2 vertical lines on the left, and one on the
right. When doing a diagnostics test, it seems it has to do with the red
color. While I replaced all the capacitors, that didn't help. I
disassembled the monitor, and disconnected all the cables, also the flex
cables. I cleaned them and reassembled, but still the same.Any idea?
ddarecki: You are awesome! You saved me from buying a new TV. Very clear and simple
instructions. Thank you for taking the time for posting this.
KezioGamming: panel defect !!!!! no t-con, no flexcable PANEL DEFEKT !!!
Parth Khopkar: Thanks mate You Rule!! You saved me 20,000 bucks(inr)....
disasterpastor12e16: Day 2: My TV interference occurs when the TV warms up. Seems to be 13
minutes after I hit the power button, repeatedly.
CAnderson4149: Hello, I have one white vertical line with my samsung lcd tv that looks
like the one you have at 2:35 but I have reset my flex cables and no change
but they also don't change when I flex my tv. Can you guide me to what
might be the problem if my cables have been reset? Thanks for the video!!!!
natedog5656: I cannot thank you enough for posting this! I was about to throw away my
Samsung LCD and ran across this just in time. I bought some rubber weather
strip (normally used for sealing outdoor crevasses) and inserted it in the
top to make sure the connection stayed together (b/c it was visably not)
and voila - it worked!! Saved me $600 for the quoted repair or even more if
I would have bought a new TV. DONT LISTEN TO YOU LOCAL TV REPAIRMAN - THEY
JUST WANT YOUR MONEY!!!
Jason Wandels: Dat song
Cem FX: cool tune :)
William Shanley: Your hard work solved my problem that has been giving me a headache for
months. I work in video production and I cannot begin to tell you how
grateful I am for your wisdom and generosity. Many blessings to you and all
DarkMinitzu: Hi, I had a similar problem with my LCD tv. I reseated the flex cable and
lost all picture on the screen. Tried reseating both a few times but it
never came back. All I touched were the flex cables. Any suggestions?
Nada Sukma: Thank
disasterpastor12e16: I just had my TV screen replaced within the last 30 days, but the warranty
on the TV ran out the day I got my TV back from the shop. I'm just now
getting the vertical lines as shown at 2:29 in this video. I saw an open TV
set frame at Sears last month and was astonished at the sparsity of
electronics in LCD sets and the overwhelming amount of electronics in
Plasma TV's. I have an LCD, so after seeing what I saw at Sears I may not
be so afraid to try reseating the internal contacts on my TV.
Angela Barnett: Thank you soooooo much!!! I have only had my samsung for a little over 2
years and I think this fixed it. I called and my extended warranty just
went out and a small tv shop was going to replace my panel without even
looking at it. He said the cheapest for estimate was $500. Thank you so so
much! Seriously Bless You!!
1cemoy: freak your music !!!!
TDXAV: And indeed it did fix my problem. Thanks again.
Jenay37: Hi, This video is great but I have a similar problem with my samsung LCD
tv, just not exactly the same. The left half of my screen goes dark, an
moves slower and kind of ghosts when the tv is first turned on and then
works fine when i tap the back of the tv and the same thing only occurs
every so often once the tv has "warmed up" and then goes away after 20-30
secs. Any suggestions or ideas would be great. thanks!
chance3349: Hi, I have ln52a6501fxza samsung HDTV and have a ghosting and double image.
Was going to try this fix. Just wondering where did u put the heat
resistant rubber? It's not clear from the video.
vadinne1: problem solved! Thank you so much!!!
