chris222233: I have it on my home. It was built in the 50's has planks (1-by) under it. I did spray insulation just like this guy but from the inside on my home. It didn't work much at all. (Put it in 1 year ago) I'm ripping the drywall down and putting in plywood with brackets in the wall cavity. On top of that I'll put in my r-15 faced insulation. Lastly I'll put the plastic barrier over the wall then I'll put up my drywall. Sounds good to me. I hope it works!!!! Please give me feedback! Im not talking off the asbestos. It's cheaper my way. Also I won't do spray foam. I'm not. Lol. Thanks everyone!!

StartInsulating: In Wisconsin you can't touch slate siding containing asbestos unless you are asbestos abatement certified and have notified the WI Department of Health Services. All asbestos procedures must be followed, such as HEPA respirator, wet spray, plastic containment, etc.
