Brian Passmore: i have a samsung 3d led tv that has been struck by lightning!..is it
AmericanExpresss: Actually the uF can be 10% + or - and yes the Post Voltage has to be = or
higher Also another way to tell + and - on the post is the shorter post
will always be the - and + will always be the longer post.
Darren Owen: my tv wont come on the blue light on the bottom of the tv just flashes but
nothing else happens could anyone tell me whats wrong plz
Chad Nelson: Good VIdeo. I have a KDL-32EX40B Sony TV. My house was struck by lightning
while the tv was off and now it does not turn on. Whats the likelihood that
it is just the capacitors and not anything else? Also, if it is not the
capacitors, what else could it be? Thank you!!!
FixItUrselfDummy: Good luck and God Speed

DIYtutz: @traderboy99 how can you see your capacitors without getting the back panel
off? make sure you touch them with your hand to feel if the capacitor head
is a little raised.dont touch it if they have some type of ooze coming out

the tv back up and try ???? please answ...........
SteelCity1981: you know this wouldn't be an issue if TV companies put solid capacitors in
their PCB boards like pc motherboard are doing now....

ronald ertwine: i followed your ins my tv did everything but turn on its a vizio 3d55 any

refuses to lift up) and see them. I felt one of them and it is a bit raised
but i cant get a proper look until i find a way to get the backing off.

FixItUrselfDummy: @fzaalbert quite possibly your TV's bulb has burned out. just like the
lightbulb in your lamps, they eventually die. but im not an electrician so
i cant really tell you what it is.
light4misa: rapid electronics, they sell stuff really cheap
MoisesPortillo96: I have a problem with my Panasonic viera tc-p42x5. My problem with my TV is
when I try to turn it on it wont turn on, nether the blinking light. Can
uhelo me with this problem. Thank you
FixItUrselfDummy: it usually has a bulging top or even busted with black stuff coming out. i
have a video called "lg tvwont turn on" check it out and youll see
Bubbasaure: @aharmdiver1 Try checking the backlight of your TV. It will most likely be
located on the back of your TV in the Vents. If you don't see any white
light, then the backlight if your TV could have possibly went out and needs
to be replaced. Usually when you power up your TV & receive audio but no
picture it is a backlight issue.
219mohawk: ok 32 inch samsung little red light, flash 5 time then turns off,no tv just
like everyone capacitors all good, But i changed 6 of them out.but when i

Gary Comeau: I have a Toshiba 32 LCD TV that when I turn it on has no sound and a black
screen. The power light comes on and is solid. I am unable to get the menu
or any button to work. We did have a power outage a few days and it seems
that may be the cause. Any suggestions? Should I change the capacitors?
luasefelisjg: Were I can buy thos capacitors and how much they cost,..... Any1 had the
DatNikKaZI3: lol Radio Shake? lol
gdorwin26: notice that the picture of the capacitor gets bigger.
Austin Evans: for caps that is incorrect, you should try to stay within the same volts if
you can, you can go larger with uf, I sometimes go slightly more uf just
because to give it more life. Liquid filled caps age, and deteriorate so if
its slightly bigger than it will last longer. Also it is a good idea to add
cooling caps will pop from getting to hot.
traderboy99: Great video, Ive got an LG 37LC7D that works fine for about five minutes
and then cuts out and i get crackling and popping noises. I cant get the
back off at the moment but i've looked at the capacitors and they all seem
flat at the top. Any advice? Thanks
Julie Stilwell: I would take the back off, turn the TV so you are looking into the back of
the TV, stand back and dont touch inside while it is plugged in and look
for the area where the cracking and popping is comming from. Id venture to
say it is something other than a compacitor issue. Also someone asked
before "How much are capacitors?" They are a few bucks or under in
electronic shops. I found diode's I needed at Radio Shake for .67 cents.
FixItUrselfDummy: @fzaalbert not sure. it could possibly be your bulb burned out. ive never
experience this problem to i cant really help you.
Skip Barrus: My Panosonic Flat TV will black out for about 30 seconds...then come back.
Sometimes it will stay on for a long while, other times it will black out
of and on throughout the night. How do I know which capacitor is the

zackaryjames .: I have a question that maybe you can help me out with. I tried to update my
firmware on my lg 32ld350, and as soon as it finished updating the T.V
turned off as if it was rebooting, but it never came back on. This was last
night and so it has not came back on. What can I do to repair this
FixItUrselfDummy: you open the tv and check if the capacitors have a bubbled top.
Franklin Mejias: my tv plasma ( akai)have a black screen problem but the sound is good
also.. I can change of stations including with remote control>>>>>what
could be this problem??
phillip harper: cheers for the Video, $10.80 for 6 caps and the TV is working just as it
should. note. i upgraded to 16v 4400uf to replace the 10v 3300uf caps.
anyway, cant thankyou enough. YOU TUBE ROCKS.
Peeps R Ok: @tony11, yea same here, mine is an samsung 43 inch, and i was playing vid
games, i figured it was either my hdmi i was using, beacuse maybe it
couldnt take all the graphics, and i was playing at 50% volume too. so the
screen went blck, i can still hear the music and the game sounds from my
xbox, but when i turned the tv off, tried to turn it back on it just
clicked but then clicked a few more times and stayed off. if any body can
explain either its the capaciator or just need to leave it alone.
antwanicus: @adictoalvicio papo trata el video mio de capacitors.
