Dino Pinch: 423alonso, i think these days if you cant find it with google search, next is ebay , then craigslist
signs65a: Thanks for this video.... I used the car wash soap.... works a treat, and breaks up the oil in the tub! I have a '69 Mercury 7.5hp. It's now running fine after 3 days of messing with it. Mostly it was air leaks. It would only run for 30 secs to a minute. I found air leaks on the hose, and at the fuel pump. I had to clean the fuel pump filter (carb filter really) a few times too. Now it's just run for 15 mins.... out on the river in a few days. Fingers crossed.
rottenrowdie: Thanks for the help Dino.
Dino Pinch: rotten,m there is a thermostat, when it warms up, there shud be water even if not in gear. i would do some investagating, perhaps your impeller blades is worn from sand , not pumping good, you see the water from telltale in gear cuz the rpms are higher in gear? i dunno but check cuz you can screw up big time if overheat!
this vid at 1:30 for instsance is idle in netural and water is showing
rottenrowdie: I have the same motor. It only pees when its in gear. Is that normal?
dexter2433: that is a mith any 2 stroke will start just as easy as any 4 stroke when in good running condition
my 93 Evenrude 9.9 sat in garage for 7 years with out being started and fresh gas and oil second pull fired right up and runs like new
any carb boat motor that is going to sit longer then a few weeks with out being started you should shut off fuel and idle the motor till it runs out gas
if you do not do this any 2stroke or 4 stroke will gum up and you will have to clean and kit the carb
djm50able: @suddenkilla24 Yeah when they are old.
djm50able: @2pac203 my dads outboard is a 2 stroke and it got flooded 1 time when we were on the river
2pac203: @djm50able actually 2 stroke starts better in winter time, watch some fourwheeler 2 stroke vids cold starts
michael rauch: Hi, was just wondering about your electric start, my outboard is the same as this one but doent seem to have one, is this something built in that only requires a battery or is it something I can add on? Thanks
djm50able: thats why i don`t like 2 strokes they don`t start right up like 4 strokes
7.5 hp Mercury outboard from 1978 cold start 2 cylinder, two stroke5
