Dennis O'Marro: I would like track info with LG3 Android Pandora
bon vivant: It's Kermit d Frog!
Addy Weiler: thank you!! manual that came with my car was not user friendly at all
Wheeler J: Whats up with the gloves? Is it winter time when you made this video?
tasev1: And people forget that they also have the hard buttons below and on the
steering wheels - much easier and safer than MFT.
MadeToLove: Will Reagan & United Pursuit! Amen bro!
YuckYuck: If you know how to work a smart phone, you should know how to use this
system. It's really easy. Fast response, a lot of cool features. Nice
bright screen. Love it. To get the full features get it with the
Lynette Fleming: I bought a 2013 Ford Fusion hybrid in May, and my system works great!!! I
have had not one single problem with it. This is a great video to help
learn the basics of the system.
Henning S.: Touch sucks with Navis. MMI 4tw!
River City Ford: Wow, we're a little bit surprised to see over 42,000 views on our video
overview of MyFord Touch, but we are certainly glad seeing that it's
helping people. Have a watch!
Osama Atef: in your opinion is this one better than iDrive system in BMW?
Ryan Pulai: Counter-intuitive and difficult to master.
DCAGchannel: I'm in the unfortunate position of having to use it at that temperature,
but it does still work. Not quite as well, though. Some of that is due to
LCD screens by nature being slower in the extreme cold and also because
you're typically wearing a thicker glove which is less accurate. Again,
it's not the same as in warm temperatures, but it does still work.
DCAGchannel: Ford is constantly updating the system to make it better and better. It's
new technology so there's hiccups here and there. Remember, it's still a
computer and computers do freeze here or there and require a reboot even
though they've been around for years and years. It's annoying, but it's not
like you need to reboot it every 3rd time you get in the vehicle. Every now
and again you might have to delete and re-pair your phone. Actually having
to do a whole master reset is rare.
rac921: ANNOYING view of your hand/frayed glove
DCAGchannel: Ford is constantly improving the system, but it is still a computer so it
does sometimes require a reboot. Nothing that's too difficult to do, but it
can still be annoying just like it is on your computer at home.
AcuraT: I have now used extensively over the past week the sync system in a rented
Ford Escort. I can say without a doubt despite reading the owners manual
that the system is not easy to use. Voice commands are better. The GM
system with OnStar integration in a Buick or Chevrolet is far easier to use
with simple commands. Also, you can configure your smartphone either
android or Apple to review your car status remotely. Microsoft has yet to
match this capability and it is lacking in the Ford products.
David Morel: i am loving mine on the new car i bought on Sunday!
ima king: Ford is constantly updating the system to make it better and better
Louis Savlen: The frayed glove was that distracting? I mean I think the guy does a fairly
good job at informing us with the features of the MyFord Touch system, if
the frayed glove prevented you from grasping the information, you may just
be one of those people who gets distracted while driving due to the fly on
your windshield. Geesh, rough crowd!
Joe Howe: I keep reading about these myFord touch systems having problems that I'm
discouraged to buy one. My next car will have nav and it must work right.
Has Ford fixed these problems in 2013 models?
DCAGchannel: I'll take that into account in the future. It was still winter at this
point so the gloves were staying on. I'll see about getting a tighter shot
next time. Thanks for the comment.
brianext gecosala: can you play video music with that??
DCAGchannel: Good question. It would depend on the integration with individual
phones/mp3 players, but nothing video-wise can play while you're driving.
666pJLcJI: It's very slow response
DCAGchannel: It depends what problems you're referring to. Being that it's a big
touch-screen, it's certainly different than buttons and there's a definite
learning curve. It's work up-front to learn the system. Once you learn the
system, it's not hard to use, but you need to put in some time first. It'll
keep getting better over time, though, to become more and more intuitive as
Ford keeps updating it.
bowenskye: How well does it work in -40?
Joe Howe: Almost every review of this system comments of rebooting, freezing etc. A
rash of complaints exist online with these problems noted. That's my main
concern. I love the interior design but I want to know what's been done to
correct the problems.
DCAGchannel: I haven't used the new iDrive, but I hear it's better than previous
systems. You still use a controller, though, as opposed to everything being
on the screen with this system where you can see and touch. I like that
