Fidel Luna: hey how do you open the door module and see if it is possible to change the
bulb in the module. my bulbs went out driver side and passenger side.
Frank Morales: Thank you !!!!!! Save my ass BRO !
John Holley: genius
Kevin Ropp: Hey my name is Kevin, i have an 05 trailblazer and my front passenger
window quit working can i use the left switches to test and see if the
right one will work.
Adam Shipp: have used this trick many times
Antony Gonzalez: I have a 2002 trailblazer and I was installing a new stereo and when I was
finished the truck would not start. ABS , Brake Light and the guy with air
bag lights are on. There is no crank at all but before the truck would
start just fine and also my windows are stuck down and my alarm control
won't work. Why do you think this is happening?
Tim Kenepp: You saved the day!! Never thought of switching them out to get the window
up.Keep up the good work and thanks for the help.
Jeremy Youngs: exxxcellent!!
Pendleton219: Same thing happend to me except all dash guages went insane radio shut off
and only back windows rolled down using switched in back ended up being the
wireing in the door itself on my 02 trailblazer i guess 02 grand cherokes
had the same problem because dodge made there wire harnesses too short and
everytime you opend the door it stretched them out
bushii TOP: Great video brother, you saved my ass. Thank you!
william colon: Would the module cause the window to go up and down slow or is that
something else? I aske because I just got my 02 trailblazer ext painted and
now im having that issue but all the other windows work fine.
Skevens: Where did you manage to find a driver door switch for $40? Mine has been
out for months -- just did this and found it is the master module. Damn
Also, loved your throttle body cleaning tutorial -- saved me from all the
headaches of the other tutorials that suggested I disconnect the battery to
reset the PCM.
MAY03LT: Glad it worked for ya! Sure beats paying someone to test it for sure!
Ed Cogan: I may be lucky, but so far this has worked 2 times for me. My window got
left down during the rain and the module quit working. My solution was to
use a q-tip and apply rubbing alcohol to the edge of the circuit board.
(you could see discoloration where the water wicked in) I then put it in my
convection oven on a towel for 2 hours at 200 degrees F. Reassembled it
back into the truck and everything works! Note - do not attempt this if
your oven does not run as low as 200.
wtmjr34: Gotta love GM. No wonder they were going out of business.
she charlier: Thank You sooo much !!!! :)
Cory Davis: Thanks a mil man!!!!! Great video!!! And it worked perfectly!
VAcoaster: Thank you so much for this. This just happened to me today and this worked!
Question that I have is what do to to get the driver door module that
doesn't work fixed. Is it the same thing as needing the switch replaced
(which I've read on forums). Do you have any idea on how much they tend to
run and if you have to take the truck to GM for them to program and fix it?
HisGirl Sprock: You saved my day! You made it so easy to do. Thank You!!!
2GuysTalking Podcast Network: A great tip! My module in particular when it's below 30 cold, but then
works find when it warms back up. So many little details, pesky problems,
and things that should be a recall note, eh? Thanks for sharing and take
MAY03LT: Glad to hear that it worked for ya! Thanks for the feedback!
MAY03LT: Glad to hear that it saved your bacon! BOSS!!!
MAY03LT: Back before they were on national backorder, they were actually affordable
on ebay lol. Depending on what year yours is you might be covered by the
recall. Theres a thread about it on gmtnation. Also right on with the
throttle body cleaning! I take it that you watched the side effects video,
good call sir!
Liggetts Corner: Excellent video...thanks! I just used this trick to diagnose my driver's
side window issue. I used the passenger module to prove that was the issue
and went and bought the 200.00 part. Hate to spend that much but I saved on
labor at least. Thanks again!
MAY03LT: @VAcoaster As far as I know, no one fixes the modules. It would just be
replaced. If you buy a new one, it has to be programmed. Expect to pay
$180-ish from the dealer and up to $130 for the install (lol) and
programming. If the module was from another vehicle, it will work in yours
without having to be programmed. So if you buy a used one off of ebay, you
can replace it yourself. Mine went out and I paid $40.00 for a replacement,
Also, thanks for posting that this worked for ya!
Jean-Pierre Côté: I discovered it was the actual plastic button that was broken which I
removed and operate from small with inside.
