Kate Colias: What video is the second part of this series? I was hoping to learn how
wool or cotton goes from being a clump of tangly stuff to a single string.
artgal7: You ladies have really inspired me to get a wheel & learn the art of
spinning. I've been wanting to get a wheel for a few years. I'm into
sock/fingerling yarns, but I feel like I need to learn as much as possible
about how to spin. Also I need to learn about the different wheels and the
best wheel for me. There's so many awesome looking wheels, I'd want to
understand what I'm getting before I buy. Let's face it, they are a bit of
an investment. Just curious ...Do you ladies sell you yarns?
ashbug0423: i know you said the asfords specialty is art yarn but can you do finner
yarn on it if you wanted to?
Kiddalee: I think you should add "Part 1" to the title. Just calling it "How a
spinning wheel works" makes people expect to see the process and all the
mechanisms at work, and then they are disappointed to find out this is just
Extractor502: Like the look of both wheels. LadyBug, ehe? Got to check it out. Thanks for
btblou: You bought the wool from a sheep? LOL Loved your intro, you're inspiring :)
denise evans: Hi love your video very clear, can you advise what spinning wheel to buy
for a beginner, but I do learn quite quickly have taught myself to crochet
- I love the look of your Ashford Country spinner - I live in the UK many
thanks for your valued instructions. Also when the wool is spun single
thread i..e first spun can you crochet with it straight away or do you have
to do something else with it. ?? regards Denise The Linen Co
clamor6: Great intro! Thanks!
TeenYarnie: I've been checking out the ladybug wheel lately. I REALLY want to get it
and learn how to spin but I'm 14 and I live in Narnia.
derryn gallegos: HI, ok I have an ashford Kiwi, so I'm not sure how different it is from the
ladybug or country spinner, but I am having a problem. When I spin, the
yarn gets twisted, but it doesn't wind onto the bobbin. So I have this long
piece of twisted up kinked wool because the twist doesn't stop and the
already twisted wool doesn't wind onto the bobbin. Do you have any idea
what I'm doing wrong?
MitchPR08: oooooo puuuurrrdddy!!!! Great video!!! looks like the drive band on the
Ashford might need to be replaced though! Not supposed to be so loose :-)
