Eddie Olvera: How much CFM is needed. What kind of unit do you use for disbersement of beads
Gabriel LaCross: Try a smaller tip maybe. They have some that are very tiny and some that are as thick as a pencil. This should help
aquaholic38: Im new at sand blasting, I bought a 10gl. sand blaster, 2 guns and glass beads media. doesn`t work well. It shoots too much media and cleans nothing, but when the tank is running out of media and shoots few beads only, that`s when it works very well. (for few minutes and keep shaking the tank) If I close the gun to regulate the amount of media, then it shoots out too weak even at 100 psi at the tank. Any pointers? THANK YOU KINDLY!
Gabriel LaCross: Its a 185cfm compressor but too much media causes a big dust cloud and makes it harder to clean up. Weve done it all ways this seems to be better. If the pool was not part of this we could do bigger blast zone. But the pool makes it where we need to do smaller volume
Arne Boberg: Not a lot of volume there - a lot of fine-point work. Would a larger compressor help?
lumenman: I was hoping to see the before and after, so Mesmerising
clayk007: What kind of gun is that?
Tiffyjean82: What equipment do you use to do this?
Gabriel LaCross: Not at all... glass bead is environmentally safe and is no different then regular elemnts that end up in the water. once the process is done we do go in a vacuum the entire pool and spa with self contained pump and filter. This way the customer is not left to deal with it
mhester99: I want to get a bead blast setup for blasting brass musical instruments. How much CFM and psi would i need for that? I see pretty inexpensive sand blasting tanks on eBay
sunbritepooltile: feel free to look at my video !! pool tilecalcium removal
Pepito0001001001: amazing thanks for share this.
Gabriel LaCross: It seems that the two of us should talk. I use both processes. Water and Bead. I know that both do damage if used improperly. Like any abrasive method of cleaning you have to monitor the volume and PSI. As you can tell in the video, glass bead is very soft on the tile. Here we are blasting at 40psi. Soft enough to blast your skin with. There are some bead blasters that blast at around 90-120. This pressure would definitely do damage. I worked at an abrasive dist. for 6 years. I know both methods
CleanPoolTile: Gabe, tell the truth. Does your glass bead damage tile
