frankbagels: oh ok thanks. this is a lot of hard work but to pay $60 for all of it is a
lot! good job though
frankbagels: Is there a way to make or start out making glitches and distortions like
this yourself in after effects? That whole split second rgb glitch thing is
so cool, I wish I could do it manually
Juan Vazquez: is really sad that you dont shere this cool material
chaosmastermind: Youtube does that crap to me without me even asking :D
nopow: Yes, that's correct. It's compatible with CS3 and above.
RetracO77: very glitchy. Good job!
Martin Obando: too expensive for a single use..
nopow: Had to Google it but all I got was a bunch of results on the Psych episode
called "Tuesday the 17th". I know this template's being used for an
upcoming horror film called Skinwalker Ranch.
Jennifer Milarski: Can I just check it;s compatible with CS3 and above? Not just CS3? Thanks
TheInfinitiGames Fin: do those sounds work in vegas?
nubnubbud: cause it had to be done.
DesoloZ: i cant tell if its the video stoping or my slow computer lol
nopow: Hi. For your first question, I would probably have two layers. Underneath,
have the plain footage. On top, have the footage with the effect. Then you
can just animate the opacity of the top layer to have the effect turn on an
off. Otherwise, if you want the effect to become gradually more intense or
gradually disappear, you'll have to watch the video for that specific
effect to understand what makes it work, then keyframe whatever properties
make the effect.
moonwalker915: I bought it now the only hard part is getting to know how to use After
Andre00x: So if I purchase this...Would I be able to take the random pixellation and
but it to a specific shape?
nopow: Not a simple undertaking, but very rewarding in the end.
nopow: Well once you understand how it works you would be able to make specific
patterns, yes. Not sure how much you know about AE, but the way it works is
you have this pixellation layer, and it shows up in random areas using
another layer as a Luma Matte. So you can adjust that other layer to give
it a new random pattern, OR you can create your own Luma Matte layer by
drawing a specific shape using the Mask Tool. Then the pixellation would
only show up in that shape. I hope that makes sense.
nopow: Thanks for the comment. Yes, it's compatible with CS3 and all later
versions of After Effects, including CS6.
Forrest Patterson II: I have CS6, will this CS3 template be compatible?
nopow: All of the audio effects are mp3's, and all the stock footage (clips with
static) are .mov files, so yes, they will work in other editing software.
DuuttyFlooow: transition 12
Dan Johnson: love the effect. I haven't seen anything of this quality out there
MastaNinja: Not worth $60.
bstr #booster: it makes me to punch a monitor :D
nopow: Good question. All of the comps are 1920x1080. You can change those to any
other lower resolution (in the Composition Settings) and the effects will
still work the same. You won't have to change anything else.
derperfetus: Dude. These are awesome. Thanks for posting! Sub for You
Andre00x: *put* typo sorry
nopow: For the second question, the idea behind the transitions is that each
transition has its own precomp for you to drop in your footage. Those
precomps are titled "Your Footage". So you drop in just the two shots that
you want for that transition, then the final transition effect will appear
in the other comp in that same folder. You can then place that comp into
your main comp, above your plain footage layer, and just sync it up.
OneGrillion16: These are cool! Where can I get these free without having to pay for them?
Chris Shearwood: Hi, I purchased this AE project. How do I key-frame effects in/out with my
own timing? Also, how can I use multiple transitions in a sequence without
pre-composing each time? Thanks
Andre00x: I want to LEARN how to do this! Do you have a tutorial?
nopow: You, sir, just gave the best compliment a person can give. It's the video.
nopow: Sorry, no tuts at this point, although I'd like to eventually. The template
comes with tutorials that show how the effects work, but you'd have to buy
the template for those.
nubnubbud: great! Does it come with a free virus too?
goldwater007: It is scary, But I am a hate damaged DVD's very much,How do you turn What's
the Big Idea into scary and Video Glitch? Please
