capacitive home and back button do not work. I will be contacting them
tomorrow to ask for a replacement. Seems to be defective unit
MP112791: Just bought this this. I hope when it comes to me all goes well =/
Taylor Han: Where is the best website to get a replacement digitizer? For a good price,
and to make sure i'm getting what I asked for. I don't really trust ebay
and such lol.
BlastedAgain: I just completed this repair, seems to have worked ok. I just have a
question about the silvery tape that can be seen at 11:05 in this video.
Some of it came off when i was pulling out the old adhesive. I tried
putting it back on as best I could, but I'm not sure how well I did. It
seems to be some sort of foil or something. I figure it's probable there
either to facilitate cooling, or else to insulate the LCD electronics from
the frame. I'm not sure. How important is that stuff? Is my phone boned
Damon Minors: I bought a replacement lcd with the digitizer and housing all attatched,
The home button does not work, i've bought 2 of them and the same results,
do you know how this can be fixed?
Pablo Villagran: Hi there, i have a question, I just broke mine but only the outside
cristal, the screen and the digitizer all work fine. Can I change only the
outside screen without changing the whole lcd screen?
magic_man_32: Recommend. My wife dropped her phone. No crack in screen, just no
display. Sound was there, just a dark screen. Good customer service,
received product in two days. Just finished installing and it works!! My
wife thinks I am a stud.
Tyquelle Thompson: what about the back and menu button?
enos218: Buy an ex demo phone and just swap the motherboard.
hentaidrifter: just recently purchased your replacement screen, followed the instructions
to the "T" The screen works great, but the settings and back soft keys
aren't working. They don't even illuminate when i turn the phone on.
Possible bad screen? What's the return policy, in my situation?
Eddy O Rielly: whats the likelihood you'll ship to canada
Izzy Ahmad: If there screen are not effected. Only the outside glass is broken. Is it
possible to replace the glass only?
Aaron Soriao: I have video on my channel showing how I take the LCD out of the housing
bezel without cracking the LCD. Great for people in repair situations
where the LCD is still good or if you want a cleaner job of taking out the
Melanie Aphayrath: Hi, I recently broke my phone and in the beginning my touch screen wasn't
working and it was just discolored but as the day went on it began to
change colors until the the black screen of death took its place in the
phase. Would I fix my phone exactly how you fixed the one in the video?
Henrique Mejia: What is the name of the inner screen you replace?
Frentoni Klaus: on the top of the frame (where is the LED and the speaker and so one) there
is the old adeshive band . Do i need to clean that too? Because is very
sticky. Does the new LCD have that band there ? Tomorow i receive my LCD so
i don't know if i need to remove it.
Leonardo Díaz: Galaxy s3 digitalyzer repair
chicagowireless: Not interested. Just do the complete LCD
Flavio Gomes: Wish me luck I'm going to try this
Limestone Media: Everyone watching this - Caution! Beware! I ordered this replacement screen
from Phone Doctors, the repair went exactly as described, however when I
turned the phone on, the capacative "back" and "menu" buttons to the left
and right of the home button failed to light up. These are directly
attached to the phone doctors motherboard that they shipped. The board was
defective out of the box. I have a B.Eng, no, I didn't touch the front of
the motherboard, all I did was peel off the plastic covering the glue on
the back. There was no way for me to damage the board. Phone doctors then
insisted that a BUY another replacement board. No way!
So beware! It's probably not their fault, but the replacement board was
definitely DOA - but only the two capacative buttons. Everything else
worked perfectly and the screen is bright. Just beware. It can happen to
Artem Arvanitidis: no nevermind, its only a little different
DoesUrMom: I have a quick question. What if when you take off the two screens that are
connected together the grey screen that you were melting off at 7:27 is not
chipped or broken? do you still have to replace the entire digitizer? or do
you have to do something else? I took off the front screen from the front
and not from the back but the cables at the bottom of the phone ripped off.
do I have to replace all of it?
Zach McCoy: Great video. I followed it step by step and replaced my screen. Thank you
Gorby Oz: You didnt mention we need a hairdryer, now i gotta go buy one

Angel Ramirez: One question what if the screen won't turn on but the led flashes red light
Tomas Ireland: common guys , why do you need long and difucult way like this? just get
full lcd thats it
Averiee Bristol: very helpful, i would be saving a ton of money doing this at home.
Peter Clarke: Nice video. The only thing i would recomend would be to cover the digitizer
with tape, just so that the glass dosnt go evrywhere. Thanks f9r shareing!
Lisa Collier: I have a LCD that needs replacing on this. I'm about to purchase the part
required but unsure whether if there is any difference purchasing the part
with a frame or no frame?? please advise
Phil Poletti: Excellent video!
Mohamed Elmi: That is one hell of a dangerous DIY repair work. I will definitely not
recommend this to a any novice DIY nor wannabe repair technician.
Garry Davis: Just finished the process. Great video. Easy to follow. Phone is like new
Erin Provazek: Just finished this repair. Awesome and helpful video. Thanks so much for
Artem Arvanitidis: you guys have the same symbol and colors as lastpass dot com. is this a
ursoutherngrl: Ok my my screen went out after dropping it and wont turn on. when searching
for the parts should i be searching for LCD+ digitizer or just one of the
two? i dont want to buy the wrong part
NormB: Thanks for this informative video. It helped me a lot.
I have several suggestions on how to make this repair a little easier:
1. Put some box tape on the screen first. This keeps all the glass bits in
one place, should the screen disintegrate.
2. Keep the phone lying down on a cloth when heating it. This makes
inadvertently cooking a chip less of a possibility than hand holding it.
3. Critically, use a small, thin flexible putty knife to detach the glass
and front bezel--say one that is 1 1/4" wide. I was able to remove these
parts without breaking the glass by slowly working the putty knife down the
4. Use the same putty knife to remove the led unit. After chipping away a
little on a corner of it I was able to remove this also greatly broken up
but in on piece.
5. My S3 has a small sticky rubber gasket running around the led and
widening out at the top and bottom. The replacement part I received did
NOT have glue at either the bottom or top, so it was critical for me to
retain the original sticky rubber gasket. This might be true for you also.
Hope this helps.
Bob Stachowski: You just saved my phone!!! Thank you so much!!!!
Shannun Terry: I didn't drop my phone but it has had a crack in top right corner. Out of
no where the touch stopped working, the back button and menu button still
work but touch on screen doesn't, when I took the back off the part where
my sim and sd is loose. Is this normal, could this be why my touch isn't
Kesha Joseph: like many others my question is this, if ur S3 falls and the screen goes
black wat do i need to replace. the digitizer or the LCD????? please
someone guide me because besides the black screen of death my phone works
fine!!! touch screen everything (yea i can maneuver around without actually
seeing wat i'm doing!)
Matt Johnson: Don't listen to Phone doctors they are worthless you can get online and
find the stuff needed cheaper than what they are going to sell it to you
for or even repair your phone for i took my phone in and i was first quoted
$149 and then charged $239 because they claimed they broke the LCD when all
that was broken was my glass and after watching this video if this is the
standard at which they replace the glass i can see how they broke my LCD
needless to say i won't be using them again
princetavie: Awesome video! I just replaced my digitizer and I'm soooooo grateful for
Dunia Huwé: my phone cracked around the home button. it still goes on, so it still
works but the touchscreen doesn't work anymore and there is some
discoloration. So obviously my phone is worth nothing now. Which parts
should I buy to repair my phone?
Fortunexcraft: God Mode with UNSCREWING Them Nails doe cx
phonedoctors: An S3 is never worth nothing. You need a digitizer replacement, which needs
to be done with heating elements by professionals, or an LCD replacement
which is possible to do by yourself. Visit Phone Doctors dot com for
options for mail in repair or DIY kits. Or call 1-866-234-9483 - Thank You!
Matt drift: there some digitizers for 10 bucks on ebay hes sold over 2500 would u use
